Trump ‘Soft Coup’ Busted By 2021 Leak Of Secret DOJ Notes

Donald Trump tried to order the U.S. government to help him overturn his losing election, and the DOJ has the evidence to prove it. Newly released internal notes show Trump tried to order the Attorney General to “say the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the Republican congressmen.” MSNBC's Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber reports on why the new evidence is significant and interviews Mother Jones’ David Corn and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade, who notes Trump's attempted order was "illegal."

  1. If validated and certified legitimate; that should be more then enough evidence to prove conspiracy to overthrow our current government by Donald Trump and Republican members of Congress.

    1. Such an obvious betrayal of America, this Trump admi istation and its Republican henchmen are doing so many unjust things in this country. January 6th was so in our face, and now they are trying to sweep it under the rug. Voting rights are being attacked in the the most vitriol way in red states. But yet we are being told its for OUR good…yeah please!

    2. @Altrusian WolfDog Oh no, not globalism. The trade philosophy that built the modern world. The horror. Nitwit.

    1. Oh like how creepy Joe pushed how many executive actions through? Isn’t that something that a “dictator” would do?

Everyone thinks that I am this huge Trump supporter, but the truth is, I am for fixing the problems that life long politicians have caused and for the people to regain the power. There are too many people (the Clintons) who get away with murder, who torture little children, and who profit from damaging our country. I will support ANYONE who is for getting people like this out of power.

    2. @Chas Laspata If you’re worried about people assaulting children, Trump was close friends with Epstein. Just saying.

    3. Trump would run the country like Putin runs Russia, though not as quietly and eloquently. 🇷🇺

    1. @Light Worker listen keep drinking the hateraid mate. This BLM argument is old and if you cant understand the difference that is on you. Trying to equate the two simply shows your lack of understanding of the differences between protest and inserection. Or your totally delusional belief that all the snowflakes on the Capitol where some how BLM.

  2. This guy is as bad as covid, a nuisance that’s lethal and we have the tools to stop, but the nut jobs of this country allow to reemerge time and time again….SMFH🤦‍♂️

    1. “It’s hard to quarrel with that ancient justification of the free press: “America’s right to know.” It seems almost cruel to ask, ingenuously, ”America’s right to know what, please? Science? Mathematics? Economics? Foreign languages?”
None of those things, of course. In fact, one might well suppose that the popular feeling is that Americans are a lot better off without any of that tripe.
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”” Excerpt from Isaac Asimov’s article in Newsweek: “A Cult of Ignorance” by Isaac Asimov, January 21, 1980, p. 19. 1. Bot alert! They thrive on dividing people. Bot alert!
Don’t respond and they simply fade away!

    2. @trump clearlywon Fun Fact; Joe Biden is donnie disasters president and yours too.

    3. @trump clearlywon You poor thang, I feel your pain trumpie, it must be stressful watching poopy pants donnie disaster getting kicked to the curb.

    4. @trump clearlywon he always claims a loss is a win. He’s delusional, much like his base..

    1. Exactly, it’s about time these networks call it what it was & I’m sure the Capitol police wouldn’t call what they experienced ‘soft”.

    1. @Kelly Moses Unfortunately you might be right. There is a lot of evidence of Trump’s criminal behavior. Some of the people that know the most about it Trump has already pardoned. And now I think the department of Justice is kind of in an “OJ Simpson predicament”. If they send Trump to prison 20% of this country is going to try to burn the country down. They probably figure it’s safer to keep him free then have to deal with millions of violent cult members. 🤷

  3. If this is certified; then this is the smoking gun to reform Congress! To quote the right-wing, “Lock them up!”

    1. @Brandon West also who said i was a d NOW?? Trump loves people like you the uneducated AND the hateful you are his base

    2. @Brandon West and then you said the election was stolen IM ON LEFT You sound exactly like MTG Matt gaetz and Trump in one you are just hateful ignorant and uneducated you are Trump BASE😪😥😪😥

    3. @Brandon West folded voting ballot sheets blank ballot sheets Trump filed 64 lawsuits each one was dismissed for lack of evidence your whole statement is like Trump nothing but a lie son are you over 16

    4. @Brandon West you’re saying the doctors in the United States can tell the difference between a cold and the covid US and like Trump when he was denying Trump said the pandemic was a democratic hoax and it’ll go away when the weather warms up son

    5. @Brandon West who has zero credibility now I clearly made your statement nothing but what Trump does A LIE 😁😄😀😁😄😃😁😀😄😃😁😀😄😃😁😄😀😁😃😄😀

  4. I have lost any and ALL respect for any member of the GOP over the last 5 years. How they could have allowed such a man to come to power and just go along with everything and anything afterwards, even to this day, is just disgusting to the worst degree. Why is that so many of our public servants are so scared of acting on behalf of truth and fact and refuse to hold those responsible accountable for anything????? These days, saying you are a Republican is becoming the same thing as saying you are a fact denying, law breaking, coverup supporter, who doesn’t care one bit for or about the American form of government, and who only cares about getting power by any means, no matter what it takes.

    1. Thats dictators for you his admiration for putin should have been the first clue of course it was except denying what has been proven factual has worked really well for republicans.

  5. “You don’t know the internet like I do” hmmm sounds like he had some intel on what people were saying they’ll do on Jan 6

    1. @tbird475 tjk he said “no one knows as much about taxes as I do” and turned out he barely paid taxes and cheated to reduce his taxes when it mattered and increased it when he wanted to look rich. I’m not saying this is evidence but looking at his history and the confidence along with everything he said on stage, I don’t doubt it much

    2. “I am the best Internet user. I have the bestest blog and no one is reading it. I mean, why won’t people read my blog? I write it to inform everyone of what’s actually happening, but no one is reading it. How am I supposed to tell everyone what’s on my mind if no one is reading it? I need to have their adoration. I cannot live without it. Just give me a million dollars to support my blog, can you? I need it.”

    3. @Cyclone is that supposed to be me? 😂 I just commenting on a YouTube video, why are you do butthurt?

  6. The republican congressman that participated in this are guiltier than trump. They’ve betrayed there oath an should be removed immediately

    1. @C. Sphire nope Dems are good because they work for us. All republicans must go because they only care about power and their rich dark money donors

  7. He knew that as long as he was at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. He was behind an impenetrable fire wall.

    1. Yes, and Trump could use his fixer his attorney general to make criminal indictments go away.

    1. @Brenda Pry Sociopaths don’t seek help because they don’t think anything is wrong with them.

  8. The layers are coming off the orange onion. Corrupt to the core. Stick him in the Dock and let a jury decide how guilty he is

  9. 2:04 Murdering somebody is a crime. Whether the murderer ever faces accountability is a separate question. What kind of justice system does this country have?????

    1. @Ben Keebler – he is too vain to flee…his massive ego would not allow it. Flee to some island, change his name, get plastic surgery…..his McDonald’s habit and constant repeated childish rhetoric would give him away in a nano second.

    2. Trumpsters have already willfully drank the cool aid, good luck snapping them out of it. Some know their orange master is evil and they love it.

    3. @Deborah Harris V.P. Harris couldn’t do that if she tried. The Supreme Court would stop it because of the 2nd amendment. If our democratic republic falls into autocracy with one untouchable tyrant in charge (Trump pr whoever) guns would be the first thing that gets confiscated.

  10. “It’s hard to quarrel with that ancient justification of the free press: “America’s right to know.” It seems almost cruel to ask, ingenuously, ”America’s right to know what, please? Science? Mathematics? Economics? Foreign languages?”

  11. This news seems to have played 2nd fiddle to the Olympics and the new CDC Covid guidelines Republican tantrums.

Please do not let this get swept under the rug. Our Democracy demands Justice to protect it. Our people need to know what happened.

  12. It’s time for everyone to defend themselves under oath in a court where it is illegal to lie.
