Iwie Anders Mail in voting is full of problems though. There’s plenty of examples this year where elections are being redone or recounted or all kinds of craziness. Not to mention ballot harvesting is going to be ramped up to the millionth degree. And all these people claiming that it’s because of the virus are they staying locked in their homes? If you can go to the grocery store or through a drive thru there’s no reason you shouldn’t vote in person. The people that are scared to vote in person can request absentee ballots so I’m not real sure why there’s been a push for the universal mail in ballots anyway unless of course you’re goal is to cause chaos on election night.
@S Dot Again, you have a point. I read about that ballot harvesting, this is something both parties have obviously done in the past(some people even ended up in court for that), and even if it werent that much, its just a shame. So the absentee ballots are a good alternative. Thats what I meant when I said there should just be common rules for everyone in the US. Is this in the interest of the representatives? It could be done easily, I guess. Im worried about election night and what comes after. We-the people- should not allow any government to divide us so far as it has happened in the last decades. The victims are we all and politicians use that to their advantage. Divide et impera: Im sure you understand the concept. It works all over the world in nearly every country: get the people to hate each other so they wont criticize politics as a whole. Unfortunately we seem to be stupid on that behalf.

@Michael Lawrence – He’s not taking a salary, but it’s going to funds he has his hands in. As do his friends. And he’s made more money off his hotel in DC and Mar-a-Lago in one year off taxpayer money than he would have made in a full 8 years as president. Really, the taxpayers have been the only things keeping his resorts and hotels afloat.
That said, let’s also talk about how the taxpayers, at the expense of the deficit, have now lifted up all of his friends’ businesses instead of the small businesses they were supposed to go to. And that’s not even getting into the amount he’s ripped the country off for in taxes and foreign interests we are aware of him collecting on.
In his own words, he doesn’t need the money. Does he deserve healthcare? Sure. EVERYONE does. And yet he and the Republicans have, for the past 50 years, fought to prevent that happening. Gotta make that bank from the insurance companies and big pharma kickbacks, I guess.
