Trump invokes Fifth Amendment in deposition video

New York Attorney General Letitia James released a portion of former President Trump’s taped August 2022 deposition. James later filed a civil fraud lawsuit against Trump, some of his children and his business. In the video, Trump reads a lengthy statement calling James' investigation "the greatest witch hunt in the history of our country" and then invokes the Fifth Amendment, declining to answer questions. #CNN #News #shorts

    1. @M Hall as he once said , only mob bosses take the 5th ! . ( and mob bosses did not get up the ladder doing nothing)

    2. @Dave G want me to list all the things biden, Pelosi, Schiff, and Kama Lama Ding Dong has said and not a peep out of you cry babies? Keep clinging to it if that keeps you floating lol.

  1. He did answer the question. he said if you are innocent why you take the fifth amendment that’s mean heis not innocent he’s guilty even tell you that himself.

  2. The Lyin’ King strikes again! 🤥🤥👖🔥
If he didn’t plead the 5th, he claimed he couldn’t recall. 🙄

  3. Remember, pleading the 5th in a CIVIL case can be interpreted as adverse evidence. A jury is essentially allowed to assume your answer would be self-incriminating. It’s practically a confession in a civil suit.

    1. That is not true. A nonanswer remains an nonanswer and cannot be twisted to fit a narrative in any shape or form.

A jury may act however they wish, including but not limited to nullification.

A jury decision cannot be questioned unless there are technical errors committed by the courts.

    2. @PlaneGuyProud i suggest you read up on this. i can recommend a channel called “legal eagle” if you don’t like reading.
it’s absolutely true that taking the fifth is only protection in criminal cases, that civil cases are allowed to take proactive refusal to answer as an indicator that the answer would expose them to civil liability.

    3. @Michael Finnigan That is grossly wrong. Attorneys often like to twist that principle. The counterargument and correct standing of the doctrine is if no material is available, it cannot be twisted to conform with a given narrative. Such is altering of a material evidence and is a crime.

    1. @M Hall in a civil case, pleading the 5th is practically an admission of guilt and it will definitely be brought up to the jury. He’s toast.

    2. @Phil Alexander 👈. Ahhhh the toast word again. Been hearing the toast word for 7+ years along with indictment, jail, prison, bla bla bla. You’re entertaining.

    3. @M Hall keep that same energy now that your Orange Emperor no longer has the protection of the Presidency.

    4. @Phil Alexander 👈. Btw the FBI raided bidens vacation house in Delaware today. Just saying, fake news CNN doesn’t report much democult things.

    5. @M Hall ok so are you happy now? Biden got raided just like your Orange Clown did. Can we move on?? LOL

    1. @Hazel Lumpkin based on what? Do you even know what is alleged? A Democrat alleging corruption is the epitome of brazen hypocrisy.

    1. 😮that’s NO surprise! I never watch fox to even know. They’re not gonna show anything to make their “god” look bad!

    2. They won’t care. They didn’t care that he had TS docs.. and to be fair, the dems didn’t care that Biden had some too. Or they stopped caring about Trump’s docs once they found out Biden had come docs of his own. And round and round we go.

    1. Say that again. Most of us could benefit from mental health. I don’t know how he is running for office again with a straight face, that too is mental.

    1. That statement was as accurate then, as it’s now.. one of the few things I’ve ever agreed with him on. You plead the fifth, you’re hiding your guilt. Too bad he doesn’t apply that standard to himself.

    2. @Peter Dorscheid Guilty or not, they need to prove their case in court. No one is required to testify against themself.

  4. Hilarious that he’s recorded on many occasions saying “If you plead the 5th your guilty! You got nothing to hide why plead the fifth”?!….. well why Donny do you plead the fifth over 100 times?!

  5. What an incredible embarrassment this sad excuse of a man has been for the United States. You can do so much better than this, guys!

  6. “Anyone in my position would be a fool to answer the question”

Sane people understand trump is telling his “personal enemies” f off, and to reinforce twisted lies to supporters.

  7. Is this a good time to buy stocks/crypto in the Europe? I know everyone is saying stocks are at a discount and all, but just how long will It take for us to recover, obviously there are strategies to manoeuvre in this present market but these strategies doesn’t come common to the average folk, or am I better off putting my money elsewhere.

    1. I’ll suggest you find an investment coach or someone with market experience before the 08′ crash to guide you amidst this inflation.

    2. @Rose Allen I agree, that’s the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an inv-coach, seeing that their entire skillset is built around short & long term holdings for profit realisation, coupled with the exclusive analysis they possess, it’s near impossible to not out-perform. I’ve been investing with a coach literally for 4years, and have accrued approx. $1.4m in net-profits thus far.

    3. @Lawrence Raine congrats. this is huge! mind sharing info on the coach that assists you? cos i’ve got a bunch of stocks that keeps tanking and don’t know if its best to just dump amidst ongoing inflation.

    4. @Rose Allen I am guided by ASHLEY AIRAGAHI I found her on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her. She has since provided entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care supervision.

    5. @Lawrence Raine just copied and pasted Ashley Airagahi and came across her appealing page, thanks for saving me hours of researching. I’m from hit-crisis Sri Lanka.
