Trump Gives ‘Incoherent’ Briefing On Coronavirus, Contradicts CDC – Day That Was | MSNBC

President Donald Trump gave a press briefing on COVID-19, naming Vice President Mike Pence the head of his administration's response to the potential pandemic. Asked about the likelihood of a U.S. outbreak, Trump said, "I don't think it's inevitable" – which directly contradicts officials from the Centers for Disease Control who say the spread of coronavirus in the U.S. is a matter of when, not if. Trump also defended proposed budget cuts to the CDC by saying that he's a "businessperson, I don't like having thousands of people around when you don't need them." Aired on 02/26/20.

    1. 15k DOW 2022 you surely know the rest of the world is laughing at you and your rediculous lying President. Democrats are not politicising this corona virus, this virus is real and no shiny anything will stop it entering America. Better prepare yourself

  1. “…a little bit like there were two different stores…”
Ya THINK?!?🙄 How about two different realies.
Buckethead in Chief’s stream of consciousness ramblings on paper would appear the

    1. I would rather have Lord Buckethead in charge then Pence..for other folks who have no clue look up the British guy who ran for parliament as Lord Buckethead.

  2. Next week the team will be fired lol. With Pence in charge we will hear how it’s the devil and witch burning will commence immediately.

  3. Trump: “The number will be zero in the next…….short amount of time.
Me: *immidiatley washes hands, prepares for apocalypse*

  4. Great…Pence will want everyone to pray the virus away…couldn’t ask for a more incompetent person second only to Trump..

    1. @Natasha S. It is if you have no intention to do anything but pray to an imaginary sky daddy. You know about Pence deliberately causing the worst hiv epidemic in Indiana as governor right? Why would this be any different? He doesn’t care how many people will become infected or die, in his eyes they probably deserve it. Oh, and he also says that almost no smokers die of preventable lung disease (like copd and lung cancer). But sure, praying will help… He has no common sense, he’s just as bad as trump. He will be responsible for even more fatalities than he already is, thanks to his spreading of misinformation.

    2. Pray always that you are able to escape all these things that are coming upon this earth. And no plague shall come nigh thy dwelling. And not one hair on your head shall be touched. It is the wicked that are going to be removed from off of this earth. Gather first the tares/weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn.

    3. @barbie99 – Here we go with the BS excuses from the perspective of fairytales. Let’s call on the druids to save us as well, right?

    1. dan mac Might have mislead you a tad there, mate, I was just trying to put over how we foreigners used to hold the US in high regard, but those days are long gone. Being 62 I grew up with the notion that America was indeed the leader of the West. Just call me old fashioned.
Coming from the UK we always find the term ‘dude’ sort of funny….it’s not been a thing here since Bill and Ted. 😄

    2. dan mac After rereading my post I apologise and accept I could have been clearer ….I think I was subconsciously putting myself in the shoes of an ordinary, decent American. Maybe….

    1. He’s like a dog staring at his person waiting for treats to be thrown his way.
Cute for a dog. SICKENING for a VP.

  5. Remember what Cohen said ‘When he talks to bankers he inflates … when he talks to the taxman he deflates’. Your real count is 60 it was like 15 a week ago. You’re about to find out what it means to have elected a moron who surrounds himself with morons. Mike Pense … Fall Guy.

    1. @Lynn Middleton So much for the separation of church and state!
There was a reason why said separation was seen as necessary.
      THIS is why.

  6. And once again we give you Spanky Tweetie Twump. The president of the United States will give you the lies of the day. The Liar in Chief lies lies lies

    1. I like the grumpy Trumpy look while the educated people all say intelligent blah blah blah stuff.
Sure, in other countries a few cases went to 200 overnight but here nobody is going to even hear about those.
I’m elevating Pence to assistant of sprinkler patrol.
Here is a medicine ball, now go out and drop it on your own face. We need some kind of distraction.

  7. Gawd he’s thick. Stock markets were ready to collapse at any moment and this gave him the perfect way out of the blame!

    1. He’s already blaming the dems.and the media. He practically blamed Obama for Ebola.cause healthcare professionals Workin in Africa and had symptoms we’re allowed. To come back here. They were Americans!, Trump didn’t want them to be allowed to come home.

  8. “The outstanding negative quality of the totalitarian elite is that it never stops to think about the world as it really is and never compares the lies with reality.”
― Hannah Arendt, The Origins of Totalitarianism

    1. The Quote could be about you or I
It could be talking pie in the sky
There is no way to identify
      The mystery’s not over,
… till the totalitarian Trump ladies sing.

    2. @fubro konway People who are more educated and/or philosophical than you are not pretentious. It just seems that way to the ignorant.

  9. “I’m going to be putting together a team”, “I’ve a lot of time with this team the past couple of weeks”. Queue the Benny Hill theme music, here comes your paper towel crisis response team..

    1. I doubt he’ll throw paper towels again. Been there, done that.
I think for this one, he’ll throw Splenda packets at people.
After all, don’t be shocked if he announces the vaccine is ready to go and it’s Starbucks’ coffee! LOL

    2. Todd B
      With a Russian here
      And a Russian there
      Here a Russian – there a Russian
      *Everywhere a Russian*
      Rachel Maddow had a farm – psycho – psycho – O
