Trump’s hunches are based on his WISHES. He figures like this: if I’m wrong, some million or so die, but since I’ll be out of the office anyway, who cares? If I’m right, I’ll be a big hero and, most importantly, have a small chance at re-election. You see everything is about HIM. No one else matters at all.

You are spot on-it doesn’t impact him, nor does he care on how many die, as he’ll be out of office if the science has it right, and things move too fast. If we are fortunate enough to have some medical break through, he’ll take sole credit. He expects that the masses equally won’t care either. At this point, he has nothing to lose in not following the science, because he does not care!

Beyond that, I’m seeing some real insanity in my own local area between one side or the other. This whole thing is causing a serious divide in our country. Someone needs to streamline some common sense across the board and our president is absolutely not doing that. What kind of leader do we want? What do we have instead?? Total chaos!

@playnochat No. Children would NOT generally be fine. They’ll still be carriers, and will transmit it to the elderly or the immunocompromised. And if their immunity happened to come down for whatever reason, the virus will take over. Also, we don’t even fully know if there are future complications that can arise even if it’s treated.
For America’s case….you still need the lockdown to prevent more deaths….and really can’t take this virus lightly…..be safe.
