@Randy McCluer you can’t learn common sense in a book because common sense doesn’t exist. What one person thinks ought to be common knowledge applies only to that person, family, community, or culture. There are many cultures, countries, and communities that all have their own ideas of what ought to be “common”.
So with everybody having all these different ideas of what’s supposed to be common, what exactly does common sense look like? What are some positive characteristics of common sense? I’ve only ever seen it used by people who lack the ability to articulate why they think someone is stupid. “You’re stupid because…ummmm…you don’t have common sense!”
Case in point, someone who has good common sense is just called smart, so the opposite of that is simply stupid, but the term “common sense” is just used by dumb people to make themselves feel smart.
