On the bright side, the people that would most likely listen to this messaging from Atlas are Trump supporters. I just feel sorry for the healthcare workers that have to deal with these idiots when they get sick.
@Michelle Harrison It’s complicated. Some welfare people can stay home and be safe. Workers will be hurt…causing welfare spending to increase. Less workers, less businesses, bad economy.

@Rahim Majid -There is still no bright side to what you’ve stated; because those idiots, will go out and infect someone who’s being responsible. Healthcare professionals, aren’t instantaneously replaceable. Caring for ICU patients takes specialty training. Not every registered nurse is qualified to work on these units, which means, the skilled nurses will be replaced by nurses that have no experience with critical care patients. It’s so unfortunate, that people sincerely believe any medical license or nursing license, qualifies you to give all levels of medical care. The current occupant, has filled the pandemic team with a veterinarian that bred labradoodles; allowed a voodoo priestess doctor that believed in alien impregnation, to speak about COVID; listened to Rand Paul, an unlicensed Ophthalmologist; and a radiologist, that probably hasn’t cared for an ICU patient, since his second year, in his residency. They are currently turning patients away, at many hospitals and simultaneously firing nursing staff. The ill informed and ignorant, don’t understand how, and why this is occurring, and it’s just to cumbersome to try to explain it to them; because their mental fortitude is as limited as, “individual #1.”

@nosuchthing8 I certainly don’t agree with his rhetoric but it’s hardly comparable to Nazi war crimes. And, furthermore, the AMA does not revoke medical licensure anyway… the medical board of the state in which the physician practices is the judge/jury on that. The AMA is a private, not for profit organization which is ethics focused. It is not involved with granting or revoking anyone’s license.

But on the first point, if covid 19 is 1% lethal in a population of 330 million people, and the r naught is high enough to require 300 million get infected before any herd immunity kicks in, we get 3 million dead Americans. That sounds like a big enough number for a holocaust for me.
