Thing is the people with underlying disease would have lived probably for decades depending on their age if they did not got covid-19. Peoples immune system would not have reacted like it did causing double pneumonia and killed them if they did not got covid-19.

@Dave Theseller my hospital is rather empty, but yours may be full… ask yourself how many people does your hospital care for versus the population of people it serves. It would only take a very small fraction of a percent to fill them. I am not saying this is not serious, I think you should keep things in perspective. on average the usa has around 47,000 deaths a week, we dont stop the world for them or have constant media coverage of their tragedies. you are brain washed to fear what the media stream is telling you to.
@gio So they “slowed the virus”, even if you separated every person in the world for weeks( more would die for lack of water, power, food ect… I mean who would be providing them?) it would not guarantee the virus was gone. Europe has had so far ABOUT 9.5 million cases, and the USA ABOUT 8.9 million about the same. There are outliers like Sweden that did not confine or shut down. They made no demands to mask, use them if you want, while last Spring they lost more in their nursing homes and admit they should have protected the elderly better, the rest of the population carried on with only small adjustments to a normal life and they did not wreck their economy or engage in partisan nonsense, weaponizing this virus from China. Poland is another outlier, they decided to give everyone testing positive the only drug they had, the controversial hydroxychloroquine and followed the recommendations of an expert in Marseille to give the drug to people before they are gravely ill (unlike the rest of Europe and the USA that approved limited use did clinical studies and declared it no use, they tested for the most part those gravely ill in hospital where it was least likely and now proven not to be of benefit. Chemo for terminal lung cancer patients does not work either. US media cherry picked the narrative to fit their political agenda. CNN and MSNBC, and BLOOMBERG seen in Europe, seen everywhere in Europe are blackening the reputation of the USA.
