Trump: America's Homeless Living On 'Our Best Highways, Our Best Streets' | The 11th Hour | MSNBC
He’s an imbecile!
Trump represents all of the worst qualities humanity has to offer.
Tell him to come over to Barry Farms in D.C. and let’s ‘scuss stuff.
Heartless and ignorant of peoples lives.. The sharpie huffer in chief is making the rich richer and the poor poorer, and now wants to remove the homeless..
The whole world is watching the US fall apart on a daily basis
Lol who cares. Its americans in america. They like to shoot each other with guns and then pretend like guns have nothing to do with it. Basically a whole country of insane people that repeatedly stab themselves in the leg with a knife, then proceeds to whine that it hurts. No fixing that level of stupidity. Just gotta let them sterilize themselves.
David Gainey: I suppose you are a Trump supporter – moron
@David Gainey um, can we have an intelligent conversation about this without slinging blame? It’s a complex issue.
Imo you are partly right about regulation. Exclusionary zoning in cities does exacerbate the lack of affordable housing. I would argue that a major cause is also the large numbers of high end housing units bought by outside often international investors for speculation. Most of those units are empty. So you have fancy high rises that are mostly empty displacing housing that at least some people could afford.
But, this isn’t a Democratic caused problem, any more than it’s a Republican caused problem. It’s a systemic problem. Building affordable housing must happen, but it’s hard to get market rate developers to do that as they don’t make as much profit. Which means some sort of subsidies for affordable housing. Programs like Habitat for Humanity are awesome, but they don’t make a dent in the need.
Building more affordable housing would help working families, but there are also homeless populations that are homeless because they want to be. Perhaps with mental health and/substance abuse as factors. And they may come to places like California because a milder climate is easier to survive in. When I lived in a cold climate, there were homeless, sure, but not nearly the numbers that I saw when I visited So Cal.
Like I said, this is a complex problem. You can’t reduce it to sound bites or political points, at least if you’re honest
I really think the guy is crazy and the whole reason Ivanka is at white house is to tell him what to do. Like for real think about it
Really? That’s Ivanka dressed as Trump at the rallies???
She isn’t doing a very good job then.
@niecers who said the Trump family were good at anything. They only fool their crazy followers
Very sad to see a President behave so cruel and heartless.
What a bunch of lies lol
@Troy Stocker not necessarily.
@Yo-yos Tenbucks reported for hate speech. It’s so funny how the hypocrites on the right break rules and laws with seeming impunity but then call out the left. Can you say projection?
@keith parkhill we got a business major over here he knows what to do
The streets of California look much better since they removed Trump’s star from the walk of fame. It will be restored on the walk of shame where Michael Cohen is doing time.
The streets in California are going to get worse with state wide rent control
@Troy Stocker huh? Rent control, while not without its problems, probably will greatly reduce the number of people who lose their apartments due to massive rent increases. It may not help too many who are on the streets now, for that the cities need to increase the amount of affordable housing built. Its not an easy problem to solve. Plus, its many different populations, from those with substance abuse / mental health issues to families who were just priced out. Esp in California, there are lots of working people who are homeless, maybe living in a car or couch surfing.
“It’s a phenomenon [massive homelessness] that started two years ago.” … hmmm, Who assumed the Presidency at that time?
@xuebaiqiang – The “running their cities into the ground” phenomenon is bigger than Democratic mayors, and Trump is just the latest symptom of our degradation. The real problem goes much deeper and started well over a century ago. Capitalism is unstable, could not survive the gold standard, could not survive the post World War 2 “Bretton Woods Agreement” . . . and finally cannot survive the free floating “fiat currency” era since 1971. The media and the Fed concentrate on core inflation, yet have not accounted for the effects of stagnant wages, currency devaluation and asset inflation. The homeless are growing, because wages are far outstripped by the tripling (or more) of housing costs as the wealthy must have a way to grow their pie and increasing costs is their vehicle of choice. In 30 years the top 10% will own all wealth, what will people do then for shelter?
A lot of those homeless can vote also. He forgets that.
True. But then Trump insults many people who vote. I guess that’s why his approval rating stays underwater.
Mansa Musa, yes and they better vote republican, If god forbid a democrat gets in the white house the whole will become a shithole country. and we don’t want that to happen, Trump 2020
@Bmw EM oh you mean like the Shithole Red states that are subsidized by the Blue states?
Someone needs to tell Trump that being president of the people in the country does not exclude being president of the people in the cities as well. If there is a problem in American cities, it is a presidential problem about which the president does nothing, but whine and snivel.
@Geddy Schacher how exactly is the state of California not following immigration law? States are not the entities charged with implementing immigration laws, so if they choose not to participate in a federal government function they are not required to under the law.
@Geddy Schacher how exactly has California not followed election laws? Be precise please.
@Geddy Schacher https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Immigration_and_Customs_Enforcement
@Geddy Schacher meanwhile this administration defies the Constitution which gives the House of Representatives oversight of the Executive branch. Ignoring subpoenas and directing people to defy House committees is a clear violation of law, specifically obstruction of Congress. This was one of the articles of Nixon’s impeachment.
Hypocrisy at its finest, accusing others of breaking the law while being the most lawless and corrupt administration this Country has ever suffered under.
Trump just cant help himself, the need to attack those he deems less than himself when in reality he is far worse an example of humanity than any of his targets. What a disgusting man, id rather hang out with homeless folks than be invited to the white house, at least I would get to talk to human beings who have actually been through real hardship and learn something from them.
except he was talking about waste management
Neither can Fcker Carlson. Calling human beings many of which are Vets and this vile SOB called them “filth” and Donny dearest AGREED. How anyone in the military can support this sociopath is utterly baffling
I thought Fox News isn’t working for him anymore?
They stopped badmouthing him. No negative news or bad tweets that the left print.
Vote 2021 trump bankrupt and homeless or locked up
2 yrs and if that were true than he’s the cause. Happened on his watch. VOTE him out and the rest of his RP accomplice
The ignorance of this imbecile geez come on America do something.
Vote!
Linda Scott exactly and help where you can especially neighbours, elderly and disabled impacted by transport issues. Only way to have your say is to turn out in numbers
HASH TAG:AMERICA vsTRUMP/ADMINISTRATION!!
With filth? Umm they happen to be people. And i would rather spend a week living with them than 1 hour at a trump klan rally.
For sure
He was talking about waste management. MSNBC cleverly made you think he was talking about homelessness.
@mick milarepa be best….
@Chatty Cathy Not So Chatty Cathy
@mick milarepa yuk yuk yuk..
Trump couldn’t care less about the homeless if he thought he could get away with it he have rounded up and put on a garbage pile.
Lets “clean up” the WH from its occupants and impeach Dump45. They’re in the way of progress.
“It’s a phenomenon that started two years ago”
For a change, he didn’t blame Obama on this one.
Slip of the tongue
Why bother even asking Trump anything on a topic such as homelessness… Everyone knows he doesn’t care. If your not part of the elite 1% you don’t matter.
Tucker called them filth!
Wow & That’s a great start to discuss homelessness.. very thoughtful!😠
