@Tom Bombadil I hope you, and the initial research are correct. Other early research is more troubling, e.g. the RoK study indicating possibility or re-infection. In one area of Italy, San Marino, the death rate was a little over 1 in 1000 over the overall population. I’m not sure what the demographics are for San Marino, or how overwhelmed the healthcare system was, but that sets a lower bound of 0.1% mortality, which is serious for a disease that is this infectouse.
@Linda Stover the 1400 come to a death rate of 0.02% compared to the 3% that was used to justify the lockdowns. since you don’t seem to know how to do the math, I’ll tell you it’s 150x lower. who’s the moron? the average death rate for flu over the past 10 years is 0.13%. but only 20% of deaths attributed to flu actually had a flu virus. a big portion actually died from common cold viruses. because they were old or infirm. that’s just what happens. so here we have a virus that is much less deadly than flu, more on a par with the common cold, but spreads very fast. so it’s nasty, but it is not at a level of severity to justify the shutdown. if 30% had it and barely noticed, you should be happy to hear that. it means you are not about to die from some horrible disease. are you disappointed?

The infection rate makes it serious even at the level I am suggesting, but it’s not the disaster that the news and government are making it out to be. It’s serious like maybe on par with a really bad flu season or something like that. think about this, New York City was hit worse than anywhere and they were not overwhelmed. They never needed those temporary hospital beds.
