Our police officers and securities are being treated like crap. They’re poorly paid but yet every day they have to put their lives on the line to ensure that other people are safe. Also the Government needs to tackle poverty so that folks don’t resort to crime.

This is a big disgrace on people’s lives
I had to leave that work. Waking up 2.30 to go to work sometimes you forget to take up your tie as your barely awake and you get penalized but you are now sent on the job without proper protective gears and minimal pay and until someone dies then there is a conversation that essential dissappears in thin air without the problem being rectified.
If someone should tell you go work as a police or security guard without the proper tools only getting paid $60k $380usd every two weeks with a 80% chance getting killed or go join a gang of 5 well trained ex police or soldier and make 8 million in 1 day only work 15 minutes with a 20% chance getting killed which one would you choose? Jamaica will not change until everything is balance. Up to now not one of these robbers no get kill so I guess it is safe to know which one a hungry man going to choose.

That’s too much money for the Security company to waste. All they think about is making billions while disregarding the concerns of the employees.

What the government should put law for they are not , they must look and see how some business people do they only want work don and no government law to back them , but may God pro get us in this country .many workers Risk their life and do some thing at on their job just because that have a family to take care of but one God must hear our cry and come to our help and fix everything Jamaican just continue to pray to God in heaven , Remember pharaoh in the bible when he oppress the Israelites and God hear their cry .

If your a security officer in Jamaica and they don’t give you bulletproof vehicle, bulletproof vest and high powered ammunition and guns then don’t go to work.
Simple, when you guys put down unu foot then they will have to pay. Protest, strike, it might be hard for awhile but it’s the only way for change.

Security guards take their job too casual. Pay or no pay, vehicle or no vehicle , weapons or no weapons, they move too carefree.
Even if they have all what they need, they still move casual like everything good.
