CTV News is Canada's most-watched news organization both locally and nationally, and has a network of national, international, and local news operations.
This is totally different from the Toronto News version I saw.
What was different?
@Bow Probably the emphasis on “brute”
@Bernard Kerman Adventures Ok, I haven’t seen all the coverage. Was curious what the difference was.
Honestly police did their job, the moment the protestors decided to breach they lost all credibility.
Next time send social workers and see how things work out.
They will get robbed and stabbed
🤣
If it were a cam full of BLMs, they would have done nothing
@STONE whats a cam ? What’s a BLMs
Well done, Toronto’s finest
They spoke to them all morning and asked them to move on. In the afternoon they forcibly removed the ones who would not leave.
Move on where?
@Elena Komleva Learn to read. Learn to listen.
Bruce Smith, did the commenter state what the Toronto Police spoke about with the homeless/protesters? Did the video news stream mentioned anything that said to the homeless/protesters?
@Elena Komleva Out of the city I would assume.
@Elena Komleva your house
They need those backpack pepper spray guns like in Hong Kong
Keep doing it. They won’t move any other way.
Where are they supposed to move?
@Elena Komleva To the indoor shelter they are being offered.
@Elena Komleva anywhere but the parks, thats not what parks are for.
@Bruce Smith I wonder what the indoor shelters are like.. 🤔
@Karen E. Some of them are hotel rooms, the same as anyone would get. Others are supervised dorms. Druggies don’t like those, because there are rules.
The Police did their job. There are laws and these need to be enforced. Yes Toronto has a homeless problem. And money should be allocated to the problem. The City is allocating 6 million dollars to rename one street. Is this a wise use of money?
They will be re-naming many streets and buildings and other facilities.
Well done, Toronto police! We don’t want to become the next California-style failed state.
Yes, please, do not turn this beautiful country to the same as Skid Row, LA, USA
“Optics? What’s optics? When do I get to bust some heads”?
They should follow the example of San Francisco since that is working out so well.
Don’t confuse Homeless with Squatters.
Great job! that’s the way to clear it out.
*government puts everyone out of work*
“HEY STOP BEING HOMELESS”
Criminalizing poverty.
Problem is the money is being used for more transit. We have lived just fine without millions being spent on that, which some places it’s not even built yet
How would you like to be homeless?
No one is entitled to live in public spaces. They should have been stopped before they set up their “camp”. No excuse when the city is footing the bill to put them all up in hotels or “transitional” housing.
I remember the days when Canada seemed like a nice place to go
