  1. For 4 straight years, Trump, along with the Republican party, have been telling the American people that Trump is above the law. The same laws that apply to us, don’t apply to him. The same laws that applied to every other president before Trump, do not apply to him. The question the American people want to know is, WHY?

    1. @Nic Moreno The scope of my comment is to make sure Frump is barred from office in the future, and partially receive the condemnation for his actions in this trial. As to other crimes he has committed, or other people, whether they knew it or not, they should all be prosecuted.

    2. @Dr. Poo She is smarter than I am, but there is a chance I am smarter than some of the Senators that think their reelection is more important than the oath they swore. I figure if I spelled it out, there was a greater chance of it happening, quite a small chance, but greater due to someone reading it and repeating it until it would up in DC.

    3. @Dr. Poo Yes, of course, it’s about Trump but the future of the US is in the hands of the GOP. ”The Lie” is behind all this unrest. It’s about time the GOP admitted the lie and told the people the truth – that they went along with the lie so the trumpists would vote for them – not that it isn’t a lie. If you see what I mean!

  2. New poll: 64% of Republicans will leave the Republican party to join a new Trump/Q party!! If that’s true, 64% of 50 Republican Senator’s is 32, that leaves 18!!!
WE ONLY NEED 17 TO CONVICT!!

    1. Trump has already been Impeached by the House. The Impeachment Trial is for the Senators to determine whether to convict or not. If they convict, Trump will be unable to hold public office again.

  3. Republican logic….Those who attacked the Capitol should be prosecuted but those who incited them to do so are free from any liability.

    1. Well if everything goes pear-shaped… remember how we caught some of the greatest crime bosses: tax evasion and bribery.

  4. If they don’t convict, it will happen again!! This time it could come from the other side, and it would be okay. Bc the GOPQ would make it okay. GOPQ, do not believe in Democracy.

    1. Trumpers are ninja masters of avoiding the court of public opinion and only hearing what they want to hear.

  5. The 14th Amendment’s text plainly states that “no person shall … hold any office, civil or military,” who, “having previously taken an oath … to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid and comfort to the enemies thereof.”

    1. They know that. They just want to muddy the waters and buy time while preparing for Trump’s much more serious criminal liability in New York.

    1. Or just Trump works for me. “Former President Trump” is far too dignified for such a criminal clown.

    2. @geofo60 Geof Harris I’m afraid that might incite his base to shout “he wasn’t rejected! And everyone knows it!” But I do like that title.

  6. No one is above the law.
….Trump operated outside the law for 4 years. When are Senate Republicans going to stop enabling Trump???
…. Trump has done so much damage to America and has trampled on the constitution for way too long. It’s time to do the right thing….hold Trump accountable.

  7. Use the Law to force trump to testify in court.
He’s the defendant. He can’t be absent from the courtroom.

    1. Since Trump is a pathological liar, his attorneys will claim that forcing him to testify is a perjury trap. That was how he got out of testifying before in the Mueller investigation.

  8. Stand up for Democracy and NO one is above the law, Trump is guilty hold him accountable and get this country back on track.
