He is VERY wrong about people will forget these current issues. Not only are more and more athletes being barred from the games due to positive tests after training and waiting for not 4 but 5 years but people are literally DYING from this virus. Going on a podium collecting a medal cant wipe this reality from memory. Also, having trained for five years and lets say you win a gold. No fans to celebrate with and your own family or loved ones arent allowed to be there with you. The celebration is arguably the biggest aspect of wanting to win. So how can people just forget this situation? Give me a break.
And i promise you this. If simone biles ever tests positive and cant compete i bet u they cancel the games! Or better yet, if Naomi Osaka tests positive and cant compete, i bet u a lottery ticket they cancel the games.
