Hoda Kotb has been missing from the "Today" show for more than a week due to a family health matter. "Today" show co-anchor Craig Melvin explained his colleague's absence Wednesday morning after heightened concern from viewers.
"A whole lot of you have been wondering how she's doing, we can tell you that Hoda is OK. She's got a family health matter she has been dealing with," Melvin said. Melvin and Sheinelle Jones sat at the desk during the show's 7 o'clock hour, as Savannah Guthrie was also off-air after testing positive for COVID-19 during Tuesday's newscast.
