@L Mackay BLM protests were supported worldwide by all of America’s allys, as a civil rights movement for justice against police brutality and systemic racism. Not one single country outside the US supported the 6th Jan insurrection by right wing Qpots who were stupid enough to follow the orange conman. Just ask any of those insurrectionists under criminal investigation if they can use trumps words as a defence or whether hes paying for their legal fees.

During the 2016 campaign, McConnell refused to sign a bipartisan statement warning the public of Russia’s attempts to influence the election. —- McConnell recently blocked two bills that could have protected our elections from foreign interference. These bills were introduced shortly after Robert Mueller testified to Congress that Russia is planning to interfere with the 2020 election. McConnell even blocked a measure that only required that any candidate or campaign official report to the FBI any offers of assistance from foreign governments.
It’s easy to forget or ignore the damage done through it all. Acknowledgement and not downplaying these actions is not only necessary but paramount.
That the words and lies of a senile, crazy old man can bring down a powerful government in America, really, really astounds me. I’m sure people like me, watching from other countries feel the same. These are insane times, with more to come. 😳
As a foreigner I’m shocked at how the attempted insurrection and the lie about the election is able to derail the Republican party and so many Americans. It’s crazy, truly crazy. America is one election away from tyranny.

I have ptsd about this incident because of what happen to those who where target and those who where there to protect. This was nothing short of being in a WAR and yet the entire GOP has dismissed it without losing any sleep over it. So glad Officer Fanone spoke up and thankful for Liz Cheney and the very few who have the integrity to demand justice.
