Dr. Lisa Salamon-Switzman says Ontario's announcing of a three-step plan to lift COVID-19 restrictions reminds her of January 2021.

  1. It’s easy for doctor blinders here to want more restrictions when she’s able to put food on her table. We can all empathize with burden on hospitals, and the back up of surgeries, but we have to be able to work and feed ourselves. How hard is that to understand? It’s been almost two years of this madness

    1. @Kicking_Fate Whining? Your a clown who hasn’t had their life destroyed by these authoritative lock-downs. Live and Let live.

    2. @Jonathan Gould live and let live? I have a family member who, due to the impact of COVID on hospitals, had an ‘elective’ surgery cancelled, and if it’s not re-scheduled soon, she lose her ability to walk forever. Though it may not be official policy, doctors in Manitoba are being forced to decide what patients they are going to save because there are not enough resources. How has your life been “ruined”? There is a massive labour shortage right now despite lockdowns – there are many jobs out there and there may be other systemic issues at play (beyond the lockdown) if your not able to feed your family.

Why didn’t the government expand healthcare capacity? IT HAD MORE THAN A YEAR TO DO SO.

If you believe that, you need to stop watching the TV “news” and start examining the source data for yourself. Because that source data shows something else entirely.

  2. Dr Treadeau must have a lot of medical deplomas…..can I make an appointment…. Or better yet I’ll just eat lots of Garlic.

  3. Don’t worry about limits and mandates. Get more hospital beds and nurses . Otherwise let’s live free and try and protect the elderly. This doctor does nothing but preach lock downs. What about losing weight, exercising , eating better food , doc

    1. @Joseph Dell Ford doesnt want to repeal Bill 124, that would pay nurses more. There’s not enough hcws trained in CC medicine. You need registered nurses, critical care trained nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Discharge planners, Admin, RPNs, Medical diagnostic technicians, physicians, etc. It’s not JUST nurses. You cant just buy bedspace without staffing those areas. To run one floor unit it costs millions: staffing, space, lighting, energy, equipment, maintenance, etc. Oh but YT commenters have it all figured out.

    2. Trying to protect the elderly is part of why there are still restrictions. You don’t just get more beds and nurses, especially in short order.. never mind the pandemic.

  4. Oh no we’re all going to die. No wait that was last yesr come to think about it. And the year before that too . So we are going in to year 3 and whats going to happen? Oh yea ..Oh no we are all going to die .

  5. Look at the data from other countries who have gone through this. “Your feelings and thoughts”, this is not data. thanks for your input.

  6. As a doctor she should know that a mental health is as much important as physical health and even more important that a physical exercise stimulates happy hormones and straighten the immune system. Less potential victims of this pandemic

    1. As a doctor she should know the active case count in Ontario peaked on Jan. 10th and is down 47% since then. Hospitalizations follow the active case count, which means those should be dropping within the next week.

It’s clear this “doctor” has never examined any of the primary source data for herself.

    2. @Primmakin Sofis testing criteria changed and is now less indicative of total case counts. as ur not testing those exposed but not showing symptoms yet

  8. I’m so tired of listening to the misinformation about hospitals, we know how you inflate the numbers, try some honest reporting for a change.

  9. I pray that l live long enough to see everyone of these characters jailed for life for “crimes against humanity ” and l know that this young generation ages 15 to 25 will see to it that it happens.
