    1. No one is excusing this. She’s explaining what cognitive overload is. If you think Diana Smith (the mother) did it on purpose, go ask her. She lives in Hastings County.

  1. Felt very sad for both mom and child. This story had me in tears. She needs lots of love and positive support right now.

    1. This is a scientific description of what happened. If science hurts you you shouldn’t be allowed to participate in adult conversation

    2. I’m single with 4 kids, work daycares blah blah it’s always busy. I’ve never forgotten a kid in the car before. This is pure negligence, poor kid deserved better. Stop making excuses

  2. Multi-tasking is overrated. It’s like doing multiple things half-assed. There’s no mindfulness in that. Do one thing at at time!
