@Thomas Armsworthy Jr people have tried to get in and help but they have been refused entrance. And all donations have been refused. Government officials and NGOs have had their offers of aid refused.
One man, and he was white and well to do, bought and brought an entire van load of stuff to one of the facilities which was near him. He had heard on the news that the facility, which housed children separated from their families, didn’t have enough diapers, etc. He filled his whole van up with boxes of diapers and other things which were needed. Drove up to the gate and was turned away by armed guards.

These do gooder idiots “ rescuing” these queue jumpers are sending a clear message to people smugglers that all they have to do is go half way out and wait to be “rescued”. So that the idiots rescuing them are the ones charged with trafficking instead of them.
Australia is a country that sent a very strong message to people smugglers by saying boats will be turned around if possible to the port they left and if the the boat is scuttled so that the occupants have to be rescued then these people will be processed off shore and never set foot in Australia.. This strong action stopped the boats coming and saved 1000s of lives that were being lost at sea because they stopped taking the risk.
I’m glad they are being prosecuted, and I hope these people are all dep0rted back to their own countries. I will be supporting that direction permanently after this. They all need to be dep0rted back, and I couldn’t care less if you cry about racism. Period

Save them from the sea, a noble gesture. Transferring them a foreign country without permission from that country is accessory to people smuggling. Some of those charges are warranted.
