NO ONE deserves that! If you haven’t, you should listen to the whole interview.
It may not look like it but they are so lucky to be alive to tell the story, God knows how many people disappeared and never made it back. So sorry about their brothers.

The strength that is probably taking the two of them to sit there and tell the story without breaking down in tears can only come from God above may God continue to bless them and protect them and their families because this is going to live with them and haunt them for a very very long time God willing they will finally see the light at the end of the tunnel
if god was compassionate…he would have transformed the weapons to wine.
Wow! I’ve been to Mexico many times but always with Mexicans. You are taking a big chance these days. There are so many other places to visit. I’ll never go back there again. This is very scary what this family had to deal with! Heartbreaking! ❤ GOD Bless Everyone
Cartels mistaking black Americans as members of a Jamaican/Caribbean DTO does not bode well for other black tourists in Mexico.
DEA, DHS and any other agency that actively monitors drug trafficking conflict should be more vocal in communicating this sort of thing to Americans. If I look like a rival drug dealer who is actively being hunted in certain parts of Mexico, I would like to know that so I can cancel my trip down there.
Federal drug trafficking intelligence needs to be less clandestine, it obviously hasn’t helped to fight their war on drugs.
My prayers are with you all and your families!!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I’m not ashamed that I was born in Mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽 I love Mexican food & Mexican music! I love my Mexican culture! The cartels are not part of mexican culture. ❤ GOD Bless Everyone
Yes they are
Narco culture is definitely a thing just like Italian Mafia culture was a thing or gangsta rap street culture
They are very Lucky.😊. Mexico has always been crazy, But I liked it and travelled from Tijuana to Puero Vallarte never an issue. Surfed all over, sometimes travelling solo. The Cartel actually owned the Hotel I stayed at, not a top dollar joint, not much worth kidnapping A beach bum and there was def places and areas other locals told me to avoid and I did.
Really glad they made it back alive and I see on the horizon their story being made into a lifetime movie sometime in the future.
Why is CNN giving bits and pieces of the interview instead of dropping the whole interview? Did she say why they were in Mexico driving through cartel infested areas in a rental? Has she done this trip before and familiar with the area? Was this really for cosmetic surgery? I would like some backstory to this because this could be a teachable moment for people who are doing this drive/flight for surgery. Based on comments I’ve read, there is a clinic there that many woman have gone to but the clinic usual picks the patients up from designated areas.
What scares me the most about this horrific event is that they were mistakenly kidnapped and were eventually released. However, if this happens again, what impact will this interview have on the cartels’ decision to release hostages in the future? I hope that the victims receive the help that they need.
Omg what they went through it’s something so horrifying, so traumatic, I am blown away by their bravery
