Since his first day in office, Donald Trump has been testing the boundaries of the law on multiple fronts. From his open hostility towards the investigation into his campaign’s involvement with a foreign adversary, to his policy prescriptions by way of executive order, to the way Donald Trump runs his own White House, this President has challenged the rule of law like no other recent President. So, in the case of Donald Trump v. the Law – who’s winning? And what can we learn from what’s happened so far? In this episode Chris gets answers from Kate Shaw, a law professor from the Cardozo School of Law who has worked in both the White House, the Supreme Court, and who also happens to be his wife. It also happened to be her birthday on the day this was recorded, and yes, that came up.

The Rule Of Law In The Era Of Trump With Kate Shaw | Why Is This Happening? – Ep 4 | MSNBC
Wow, can you say, power couple? Two brains are better than one.
I can only imagine what dinner conversation is like!
It’s too bad she was born in Australia and can’t be President. This is the kind of person that would make an ideal President. Extraordinary legal acuity and wisdom based on experience. And amazing ability to communicate complex situations with intelligent summations based on bottom lines and widely understood and accepted common sense that arises from a broad awareness of ethics.
I believe she was born in Providence, Rhode Island. (so your hopes are not dashed!)
Wrong Kate Shaw, 👍
Starts about 8:30
The on air roster at MSNBC are all outstanding individuals. I enjoy listening to them all. It’s a real privilege.
agreed
Hayes sounded a bit starstruck?
Probably wondering “How did I get so lucky?”
This is the podcast I needed right now. You two are adorable.
October 19th, Christmas? Huh?
What really excites Trump in this crisis over Ukraine and Syria is that it proves to him again and again that no matter how far he pushes the Republikkkan Party it remains his creature and the Senators and Congressmen of the GOP are his creatures. He owns them. They are his playthings and he so enjoys seeing his politicians writhing on the end of his string. This is the absolute power he craves and which he has been given, not over America, but over the establishment which has rejected him so often.
Because he is their ONLY CANDIDATE! They literally have no other option to remain in power. They have no choice but to support him if they want a Republican president. This is their last chance to prevent a blue wave from rolling over their power and ending their corruption once and for all. Can you blame them? I can’t. But they brought this upon themselves. They made their bed, and now they have to lay in it.
Who’s the dude on the cover?
Random Justificator you mean the guy with the name just under the title of the podcast?
