The real reason Donald Trump skipped the 2nd debate

On its face, President Donald Trump's immediate insistence that he would not participate in a virtual second debate made very little political sense. After all, he needs more chances to take on Joe Biden, as the former VP continues to rise in the polls. Upon further examination, though, Trump’s decision makes sense for one reason and one reason only. He sees this as an opportunity to continue to build the case, if he loses this November — for why.

    1. The reason he’s skipping the debate is because he’s incapable of debating. He knows nothing, has no plans, no platform except to continue to spew hatred and lies and whatever Putin tells him to do on their weekly private phone calls. This is the idiot that had no idea what Brexit was even after he was the nominee, thinks we had airports during the revolutionary war, had no idea Crimea had been invaded 2 years earlier, thinks Frederick Douglass is alive and doing well, doesn’t know that Puerto Rico is an American territory, thinks you can stop a hurricane by nuking it, I could go on all day. The point is he has no knowledge about anything so if he can’t rant and rave and interrupt his way through he won’t do it. In case anyone forgot he got out of a debate last go round by claiming it was more important to him to go to a fundraiser for vets instead. The vets cadet bonespurs claims to love but actually thinks of as suckers and losers. Well turns out he completely lied about donations to them until he was busted by the FREE PRESS and then he finally, reluctantly kept his word. To any of his sheep out there who continue to hammer on about how unfair Chris Wallace was, get a grip. Why? Because he was simply asking pointed questions (his job btw) and trying to get the orange menace to comply with the rules HE agreed to but then wouldn’t honor turning every 2 minutes given into 3 minutes. Your dear leader has done a great job of convincing his sheep that anything that is difficult or uncomfortable or true is just unfair or a hoax. Anything that’s not sucking up to him is unpatriotic. Ha, from this traitor. Newsflash, it takes more than hugging a flag and running around screaming libtard out of your ignorant unmasked faces to make you a patriot.

    2. The only definitive outcome of the first debate was that Wallace doesn’t understand the concept of one and should never be chosen to do one again. He interrupted both Trump and Biden in open discussion when they were in “relevant question territory” claiming “it would be discussed later”. The first time Joe immediately picked another relevant facet of the question and they continued only to have Wallace interrupt again about a minute later and ask a NEW question to Trump (presumably a subject change based on the rules he set). He then interrupts Trump shortly after on the basis he wants to ask Biden a different question. This is all before the ten minute point of the debate when supposedly in “open discussion”. I honestly think Trump and Biden were just “settling in” and it had the potential to be at least a reasonable debate. After the multiple interruptions, Joe appeared annoyed and Trump called Wallace out when he said “It appears I’m debating you, not him”. Wallace’s interference had driven the debate off the rails at that point and it was never going to get back on track because Wallace wanted to “control” rather than the “facilitate”.

    5. @jimokee Don’t be too sure about that jim. I just voted for Trump this morning and I was standing in this huge line waiting to vote and I noticed 98% of people were wearing the Maga hats.

    – President will be cut off when his time is over. This is exactly what Trump is good at. He interrupts whenever Biden is saying something. In virtual debate he can’t do it.
    – If he complains about Biden using a teleprompter, they can add additional camera from backview so everyone knows if he is really using it or not.

    4. @Blondie SL So, I’m here to completely ruin your entire statement. Sure, I smoke pot. I also have a college degree, full time job, and in my college days, I worked as a nurse. I’ve seen people with dementia, had family members die with it. Biden absolutely is in the early stages at least. Can’t remember where he is, can’t remember peoples names. I can completely think for myself, and I won’t be beholden to any corrupt media – be it from the right or the left.

      You absolutely sound like most Democrats- Trump very bad man, but give zero facts ever as to why. I’m not even a Trump supporter – I’ve never voted. I am this year because left wing politics are going to ruin this country and I cannot allow that. Be quiet and let the adults talk, child.

    5. Besides Trump’s failures as a businessman and an obvious tax cheat, he had zero public service experience. That’s none and notta for the simple minds. I’m curious what makes anyone believe his name was ever qualified to be on a ballot in the first place? We don’t give engineering jobs to fresh tech graduates for a reason and politics is no different than any other job.
