Exactly. Especially because of what they did with it; stock buybacks. This inflates the value of the price, which enriches the stockholders, but it is not based upon productivity. I predict the value of those stocks will eventually fall/crash to be in line with their productivity. And I think this will have widespread effects to the greater economy. I read somewhere that over 90% of the first tax cuts were used on stock buybacks. This practice used to be illegal, but was made legal under Reagan.
