Its not like there are thousands of images of inside North Korean homes with Curtains and blinds and its not like the North Korean textile industry makes more lace curtains than any where else in the world.

@Wallace Have you ever seen a documentary made back in the 80’s called “The Atomic Cafe..?” There’s a great sequence that juxtaposes school kids hiding under their desks during a drill (“Duck and cover”), which then cuts to films of the atomic tests at Los Alamos, showing rows of houses being blown away like matchsticks during various tests.

There were quite a few films and documentaries in the early 80’s about the reality of an all out nuclear war, ‘Threads’ in the UK and ‘The Day After’ in the US probably the best known.
And yet on any 80s music YouTube video, there’s a ton of comments on ‘how good’ the 80’s were ! I seem to remember them – especially 82 to say 86 -being a little bit frightening…
Chernobyl in a funny way probably put more of an end to that than a lot of the arms limitation talks and treaties – if just one nuclear power station can lay waste to 30 miles of surrounding countryside and cause a city to be mass evacuated, just imagine what an all out nuclear war would be like…yeah, no one on the planet is going to win this one so let’s just not bother….
