  1. America has Never cared about mental health. Social stigma only makes the problems much worse. When suicide is a viable option….

    1. @Desert Dragon I really hope you’ve rid the house of that gun. Your daughter must be frightened. That’s no way to lose your dad.

    2. @Desert Dragon Glad she did. This is a terrible traumatic time on top of pre-existing hardships. Even gladder you say the words out loud. that isn’t easy. I’m sure being on a curb with dad enjoying a sunset is worth more than all the bling in the world. Remember you are not alone; the plague has placed us all in the same pin holed boat. The days to come may be more unbearable than the days that have passed, but together we go forward to the other side of this. Keep lovin’. Keep livin’.

    3. @Polly Aqua Keep Keepin on. We need you. Also, please try not to feel ashamed of feeling like giving up. Given with what we are facing, every thing awful happening, wanting to die is a pretty normal response i would think.

  2. If America took mental health issues seriously, Donald Trump would be living in a psychiatric institution, not the White House.

    1. @Jim River It’s really sad to fear people simply based on their sexual preference. It doesn’t negate their ability to be productive citizens . They are humans who love , feel pain like everyone else .

    1. Bob Dollar 937 ….or just plain white privilege. Either way they embarrass themselves and the rest if us too. Stay safe.

    2. @Stephen Kershaw 100% true, however Personality or Mental Health Disorders can not be legislated we have to live with them. Thanks for the reply.

  3. Part of mental health treatment is jobs for those who can work. People with disabilities often face with mental health because of stigmatized. Living on Social Security is not enough and it punishes people who are working.

  4. How about every day is one more bad drama unfolding around trump one more negative thing after another like there is no end and no consequences

  5. I am relieved to see this. Mental health should not be the ugly, red-headed step child of health care. By now, it should be common sense that If someone it taking care of what’s going on in their heads in a way that works best for them, their physical health will benefit as well.

    1. Exactly! Liberals are weak mentally. They cant handle the real world so they need someone to do everything for them. Pathetic!

    2. @Rich Pysz It’s the MAGA’s who don’t deal with reality. There’s a pandemic and America is suffering more than most places because of a failed government. Why they let this get out of control is the thing I’ll never understand.

    1. It’s behind most developed countries. Universal healthcare is the norm, and it has been for a very long time.

    2. Oxford Hall it’s not behind, in real terms it is far ahead but who gets it depends on how much money you have

  6. Finally we’re starting to take the mental health effects of this crisis seriously. Isolation is the absolute last thing you wanna do with someone who has mental health issues or has been dealing with drug and alcohol problems.

  7. Gotta remember if there’s a huge problem that needs fixing make it a problem for white people so something can be done about it.

  8. The mental impact from the Pandemic has been huge. 72 mil people voted for Trump…it’s a horrible situation. They all should be provided free mental health checks.

  9. I haven’t even hugged another human being since mid-September when my mom died. I have a very small emotional support system in real life and I have totally given up reaching out to people online. We are a gross, selfish, cruel, and calloused species. I’m about ready to go build a shack in the woods, try to grow an acre of potatoes, and just spend the rest of my days reading old books and drawing pictures that no one else will ever see.
