Dom : It was never an issue for, “Christians,” until the mid 20th Century, after the initial controversy died down. The, “Evangelical,” movement is a very new development, which has found its appeal in a Luddite sensibility; in people who feel afraid of progress and want to hold back time. My daughter is a top physicist, and she believes in the God of Christianity. She has no, “conflict,” between the two ideas. But, she doesn’t subscribe to any denomination, either. She’s fond of reminding me that, the difference between a denomination and a Bible, can be measured in light years. Most Christians have not read their Bibles. And the ones who have read all or part of it, have then had it, “reinterpreted,” for them, usually by radical theologists, who don’t know God from the Devil
5000 year old writings on Egyptian walls describe the ascension of the Egyptian god Horus with the same activities Illustrated in the Old Testament and New Testament… Horus healed the sick, did miracles, he taught Scholars when he was 12, started his mission when he was 30, was called the Lamb of God, among many other descriptions given to Joseph AND Jesus…. The comparison of the list and activities go on and on… 99.9% of religions on Earth today evolved from astrology… take just one philosophy course and you will see exactly what I’m talking about… but don’t take your philosophy course from a Christian University because they will definitely not tell you the truth…

Have you ever heard of parents who lament that their kids are “too educated” to be saved? That prejudice gives them authority over those who believe the same. More than any fact, more than any science or experiment, more than any real evidence, the feeling of “knowing” that “the holy spirit” provides IS their education. They call it “the gift of discernment.” So basically, it’s part of the religion to shun worldly education or even educated family members in favor of your own hunches. Because FAITH.
