  1. Republicans have come to the realization that democracy and fair elections won’t allow them to hold on to power, or abuse that power. So they intend on bringing an end to democracy all-together.

  2. We need celebrity outreach…. bring public attention to this on a broader scale. Rob Reiner, Stephen Colbert, John Stewart…..I would be willing to bet, led by Alec Baldwin and others should get together and call this all out. They could do a huge, bipartisan Congress of entertainers bringing the powerhouses of stage and screen to the task. Just a thought…

  3. I met Texas Governor Greg Abbot once. I went to shake his hand and when he reached his hand out I said. “Please don’t get up”

  4. The constitutional right to vote 🗳 grants the federal government the DUTY to prosecute those disabling eligible voters’ ability to vote. Preventing eligible voters from voting is a federal crime.

    1. Democrats: So if we can no longer win free and fair elections, then we’ll steal them just like the last election. Truckloads of out of state ballots, ballot harvesting, destroying ballots, voting multiple times because of no I.D, etc…………..

  5. S1 isn’t the only voter protection act to be voted on. There is a better bill, one that the Supreme Court won’t nullify like they would S1, it’s S4, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Stop acting like S1 is the hill to die on, and move on to the better bill that can be passed.

  6. DEMOCRATS ARE TRYING TO GET RID OF VOTER I.D. REQUIREMENTS WHILE AT THE SAME TIME FLOODING THE COUNTRY WITH ILLEGALS. GET THE PICTURE ?

    1. It is really a shame that no so called minorities have I.D.s. Must really be hard for them to travel and buy certain products.

  7. I dont think Democrats will do anything I haven’t seen Schumer or any other senator
Out in front of a microphone calling this laws out.

  8. The solution is elections are all handled by an independent electoral commission – you know like other countries already have.

  9. Biden, Schumer and Pelosi with all due respect are dinasaurs along with many others in the democratic party, cushioned and made rich by corporate donors. Change is definitely needed but you can’t do it with those sitting in Washington at the moment

  10. Yes, of course! How can you have state solutions when a state can be totally taken over like a separate republic. California should declare independence. It could almost be a liberal utopia given its crazy GDP.

  11. We need to mandate voting by all citizens like other democracies.
It is no longer a matter of ‘freedom of speech’ to not vote. All of our freedoms are at risk now, today, fullstop.
    It’s time to play hardball.

  12. The federal government is powerless against individual state’s ability to write it’s own laws. The power resides in the states. The federal government was formed by the states, not the other way around.

  13. Approximately half the states allow citizens’ initiatives. This provides an alternative solution that doesn’t depend on people like Joe Manchin.
In particular, a citizens’ initiative could replace the state’s primitive voting method with a modern voting method. Primitive voting methods count at most one majority, but the fact is that there’s more than one majority when there are more than two candidates. The most widely used voting method — the Robert’s Rules method for voting on motions — recognizes that fact by using multiple rounds of voting where each round is a majority rule “head to head” vote between two of the alternatives, and each round eliminates one of the two. (Eventually only one alternative remains.) It’s like a “single elimination tournament” in sports. A modern voting method would count all of the “head to head” majorities (like a “round robin tournament”) using a single round of voting in which each voter expresses his/her order of preference.
By counting all the head-to-head majorities, spoiling would be minimized, parties would no longer need primary elections and candidates could choose to run (and win) as independents, and the two party system would quickly be replaced by a non-partisan system that defeats extremists and ends political polarization.

  14. SO YOU COME ALL THE WAY TO DC AND ALL YOU GET TO DO IS TALK TO MANCHIN’S STAFF….LOLOLOL!!!!! BOY….THAT’LL CHANGE HIS MIND…..SMH
