@Annie Bland Although the Book of Steve is apocryphal and was removed from mainstream Christianity (along with many other books and writings) by the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, it is still widely accepted by many Biblical scholars to be accurate.

Texas energy grid is cray cray nuts. They had a chance to winterize it there was warned but they chose not to
@N W Except there was a similar crisis exactly ten years ago. And, at that time the Texas legislature discussed requiring weatherization of the grid, to prevent a repeat occurrence, but decided to leave it unregulated. California does not have black outs all the time. PG&E chose to not maintain its rural lines properly, despite regulations to do so, and had to cut power to them during high fire risk times. But, they are being sued for that. The difference is, PG&E flouted regulations, while Texas just didn’t enact any regulations.

@Brian Jones Nobody hates you or your state. But, at some point, the voters will have to vote officials into office that know how to govern. You don’t have to give up your values, but just make sure that these people are capable of governing.

@Mountain Mama At this point, Texas is nearly half blue; But due to heavy gerrymandering and voter suppression, it’s difficult to vote out the leaders that have failed every one in this state. I can only hope that this catastrophic event has managed to at least change enough minds in my state that we can vote in better leaders.

@PainRelief Needless to say, leftists are not astute at issues involving money or the economy, when the facts show their Socialist ideals only lead to chaos and despair. Which is why California is struggling. Socialism is killing California so much, people are leaving. And where they go, they inflict their socialist ideas on where they move to, and the problems repeat themselves. Which is why Texas has this. @PainRelief Economies are known to recover quickly when things are done right, and the same mistakes aren’t repeated.
The right thing to do is to go back to a coal-based energy system, and deepemphasize wind turbines, until things are made normal again. Turbines alone will never work.
