That must happen, because there’s no appreciation for good teachers. Poor pay and no respect both from the government and the children.
And because of the shortage those that stayed will be under pressure to do more than is capable so will find other jobs or migrate too,at least they will be payed for what they are doing and able to take care of themselves and family better.what Fayval Williams is saying don’t make much sense

To stay would mean to sacrifice their health their families.less quality of life because of low pay with no incentives and bad treatment fr the government,plus a mostly big men and women a go school these days that teachers have to deal with while JTA get pay to sit in office a give orders
I have 2 daughters that leave college some years ago and never get a teaching job because they don’t have experience if you don’t hire them how can they get the experience

It pains my heart to say this but the harsh reality is Jamaica is becoming a failed state more and more everyday and while there are some of us who continues to believe that our greatest fear is the crime situation l beg of you think again but our greatest fear my fellow citizens is not crime but our leaders and policy makers who continues to lead us down a path that can only fester more crime. Now for those of us who might not be aware but we are living in a state where our major stakeholders (Security,Health and Education) are facing tremendous shortages and while I agree that we can never compete with the salaries of our competitors it is full time our leaders wake up and realize that they need to invest more in these sectors and the workers within and show respect. Just look at the way they negotiate. lt’s nothing short of a brawl. Now what good is a state that cannot take care of it’s nations Health,Education and security. May God help us but then again God only help those who help themselves. Now what will you do about it and for those of you who might be thinking this is political. Stop because I am for either but just a true Jamaican who really loves his country and has no intention on leaving like many of my colleagues are. You all take care now.
