  1. I get that this could be upsetting. Personally had I been there I likely would have pointed out the respect that should have been shown but it is hardly desecration. I’ll bet this person has already come to regret their action and has learned an important lesson.

    1. @J Drake yes but I’m not sure that occurred to them at the time. Even that action though doesn’t really fit desecration.

    1. @Lone Wanderer I’m thinking this is simply the result of the omission of proper punctuation and use of a double negative misconstruing the overall thought….

“It was not nothing what she did wrong she didn’t know what she did okay”

…translates to: “It was nothing that she did wrong. She didn’t know what she did, OK?”

🤣🤣 Oh, how our generations to come will cringe!

  2. Desecration of a statue to me would be more like pulling it down or beheading it I don’t agree with what they did but not sure how a kid was mistaken as atrucker

    1. These truckers brought all this trailer park trash with them to Ottawa. As far as I’m concerned they are responsible.

  3. A large bouquet of flowers and a sincere apology to the fallen soldiers would be in order for a misguided mistake like that. The press seems to be bottom feeding for negative coverage.

    1. The flowers put at the memorial did happen as well as a trucker sleeping at it at night to guard it guess they missed that part

    1. Maybe next time they’ll use words that you understand, maybe even print it in crayon to make you more comfortable.

  4. Wait this was what the fuss was about? That does look like a dumb mistake but I don’t feel like she did that to disrespect it. Yikes

  5. So this is what the Ottawa police are wasting their time doing?

Finding and charging some belligerent Quebecer who got excited and stood on a structure one foot off the ground…

  6. When your “movement” involves getting drink and dancing on national monuments, maybe you should rethink your movement.
