  1. Fine! Then it won’t be Cuomo’s fault when they get sick. They will be great cases to study and examples of how not to behave in a pandemic, Freaks!

  2. I will not be shopping on Black Friday. I refuse to put money I don’t have. Happy Thanksgiving all. Stay safe. 🦃😷

    1. @Marcella Sierra then where will you put your money, under the mattress, in a bank, or in the cookie jar?

    2. @Caroline Mcclain I’m a senior with a limited budget. I lost my apt due to the pandemic. Not that it’s any business…I did Note I did Not have the money to spend. If I had money to hide in my mattress I would rather use it to buy my grandsons presents. You have a good day.

    1. Trumpism is sending us back to medieval times. Next they’ll be telling us the sun revolves around the earth. Oh wait, that’s exactly what they did believe until science came along.

    1. Kavanaugh had most of his chambers converted into a walk-in cooler. His desk is a self-serve bar with 25 kinds of beer on tap.

  3. Christ suffers unimaginable pain, suffering, and ultimately death upon a cross, and you people celebrate his legacy by whining about attending services via a Zoom meeting? All because you’re unwilling to endure inconveniences from measures to save the lives of the people he died for? Way to represent.

    1. @Todd Morningstar Yeah, a plague with a less than 1% death rate. If I recall the diseases in the bible, god wasn’t holding back. If you got it, you were dead. But how many people survived covid-19 ? Millions of people but I can’t find the exact number. Around May 1st though, it was over 1mil. Pretty scary virus, I mean look at how many people survived. Smh🤦‍♀️

    2. The people who don’t have any respect for others, or themselves, and think they are entitled to attend a church during a pandemic are not Christians. Get a grip people.

    3. @BubblewrapHighway I’m Christian and I think they’re stupid or worse, don’t care about the lives that will be lost. This isn’t truly about their Faith, but their lack of. If they truly had faith, they wouldn’t need a building to find God.

    4. @RaymondKym Suttle You don’t have to believe to be able to respect that other people do. He might seem a fictional character to YOU but for billions of people He is everything. You are the disrespectful asshat.

    1. @Anne Why would they? They don’t pay tax, they don’t have any expenses, on the contrary they own a lot of property

    2. @Adam B the larger issue is once the 1st amendment is broken up all rights are threatened.. that includes other and any forms of thought and our expression of them in public without fear…

  4. And the states get sicker and sicker, just remember to say”I take NO responsibility” at the ER and is all free

    1. @David Hale BS . You’re totally misstating what that study found. They looked at a group, with equal numbers of people who got Covid-19 and those who didn’t. 85% of both groups reported that they wore masks all or most of the time. The difference between the two groups was that the group who got sick went to bars and/or dined in restaurants – places where they were in crowded public spaces without wearing masks, while they were eating and drinking. That study absolutely showed that people who put themselves in these situations without wearing masks are absolutely at much higher risk of catching the virus. Sitting shoulder to shoulder for an hour or more in church without wearing a mask is equally as dangerous. A church in Oregon broke the lockdown restrictions last spring because of Trump’s encouragement, and over 100 people ended up catching the virus in their tiny town. There have been lots of other church connected outbreaks.

    2. Jose Sierra you’re quite frankly too stupid for words. This isn’t a natural death scenario. This isn’t the flu. The deaths caused by Covid outpace the flu by a staggering factor and happen indiscriminately. You’re willfully ignorant. People like you learn only one way: getting it. I hope you do. And I genuinely mean it. I had it and it nearly killed me. And I’m an otherwise healthy, fit 43 year old. Suffering through it and worse, losing someone unexpectedly to it have a way of changing your perspective. People like you, who are narcissists, ignorant of basic medical information and clearly devoid of normal human empathy can’t understand otherwise.

    3. @Fashion Diva Frankly you are too ignorant. You need an authoritarian to tell you what to do. The Covid death rate is minute.

  5. I don’t need to sit in a church to be with my Lord…in my room, in the redwood forests, at the ocean majestic is where I find my connection to the Almighty!

    1. @mole rat In times of crisis, people tend to gravitate closer to god. I’m pretty sure people now suffering from depression, loneliness, domestic violence, and substance abuse are all closer to god because of this lockdown.

    2. Agreed. I don’t understand why they NEED to be in a building close together and spreading disease. I doubt the Lord will see someone willingly spreading a disease that kills so many as a good thing. DO this people actually believe or is it all about image and thinking this will open the doors of heaven to them. I seriously doubt Heaven’s are the doors that this will open for them.

    1. @Todd Morningstar You might want to read up on how the majority Buddhists treat minorities in Myanmar and Sri Lanka. Japan is a Buddhist country and I seem to recall them running amok not so terribly long ago.

    2. Is not just churches bro it’s any worship center because there are other people in the country especially in New York besides Christians. The point is he has no right constitutionally and he needs to understand this is a very different court and they’re going to uphold religious rights. I agree with you that is not necessary by any means took go to a worship center but if you want to go you should be able to go. You shouldn’t have some guy acting like a dictator . This is the same governor that has told people fate can’t have more than 10 people in their home for Thanksgiving. The cops in New York Said we’re not enforcing this. Basically till in the governor to kick rocks . You to tell me how many people I can have in my house On thanksgiving. What’s you want the cops to go around kilton people that go in everybody’s appointment of a house? He needs to kick rocks because his turn must be coming close to be it over that’s gotta be a nightmare for you new yorkers. To add a lot of Des in your nursing homes basically because of this guy not doing the right thing just in case you didn’t realize watch something besides the same channel of news sometimes.

    1. @Adam B Adam do you have any background in building design, air circulation, or epidemiology? If not maybe you should read more and realize that these structures likely do not have sufficient air exchange rates to make them safe for more thsn 10 to 25 people. I would certainly be in favor of a building by building audit to confirm an appropriate gathering number, but given the time frame and being New York is not feasible. Further, if testing were performed on the congregations and people confirmed to be safe, I would not oppose full capacity, however a mandated testing before gatherings would likely look even more as some type of infringement on religious freedom.

    2. @Edison Trent Are you willing to accept this standard for grocery stores, hardware stores, restaurants, all places of employment and government offices? If not then there’s no way you could hold churches to a higher standard. My faith really has little to do with it. The constitution, the bedrock of our civilization, forbids any special rules regarding places of worship.

    3. @Adam B That is my point, hold them all to an equal standard. I have been involved in a number of conferences and meetings related to building hvac technology, more since covid started. All buildings should be deploying some level of UV lighting and air ionization/treatment systems – there are many already available that can destroy 90+% of detectible pathogens in office buildings. Churches get plenty of special treatment now, they don’t need or deserve extra – regardless of belief they have been failing in their mission for thousands of years, and should be treated as the businesses they are – pay taxes, have policies to cooperate with the law instead of protecting child molesters, and prove that they are completing charitable missions at over 50% of their earned income.

    4. Agreed. A rabbi I know reported that having to do all his work via phone and Zoom was difficult. While having Shabbat services through Zoom was not ideal, it did allow those who needed a minyan to say Kaddish to do so. Somehow it works. Does HaShem care about this, no. So long as you remember and light a candle for the dead all is well. Saying Kaddish in a minyan is a human construct.
If I need to I round up my neighbors for a quick outdoors Kaddish. I’m the only observant Jew on my block but it works; they are a community of mine. Ten people listening to somebody for three minutes in not onerous. It confirms that we are a community. It also gives everybody the excuse to see if we are all okay. So I’m a radical leftist, you have to make things work the way it can be done during an epidemic.

  6. All across the nation we’ll now see Republican revenge rallies being staged in houses of worship and auditoriums of religious college campuses 😬

  7. For Christs sakes people we are never going to be rid of this. What an absolute crap shoot. such a simple thing that we make such a monumental deal over has now become a monumental deal. debatably worse lol ya’ll are pathetically embarrassing.

  8. I’m christian too and I don’t understand how these restrictions for a limited amount of time should do harm to my belief… it’s about saving lives!!!

    1. That’s true. They don’t want to do their part in the restrictions but if they get sick they want the Governor to add more beds in the hospital. That’s a crazy way of thinking. Being as though we talking about religious houses of worship, the Scriptures do talk about the lawyers and whoa to them. And you know judges were lawyers.

    2. You’d think they’d be happy to accept the restrictions and save lives as God would like of us. Instead they think they NEED to be in those buildings to find God. God is everywhere, God is in our hearts and if they’re truly faithful they shouldn’t need a building to reach him.

  9. The argument that mandated social distancing interferes with religious freedom makes no sense. You are still free to practice your own beliefs so long as you acknowledge your responsibility to others. It is like saying I can cross the street against a red light whenever I want, to express my freedom of “assembly.”

  10. Did jesus go to church? Just a building with too many people. Keep them separated. Pray at home. I go to a park. God knows.

    1. Jesus went to synagogues and the temple. You’re free to stay at home. No one is forcing you to go to a church. They are protecting the freedom of others to make that choice for themselves.

    2. Yes he actually did. He taught in synagogue and went to the temple at passover. When he was a child his parents lost track of him in the temple discussing with the religious scholars.

  11. “No evidence” that people gathering in large numbers contributes to the spread of the virus?? That’s what you’re going with, huh?
