  1. We need youth clubs
Skill work shops for the youth.
Young people have too much time on their hands that is why crime rate is so high. The devil find use for idle hands.

    1. I keep saying this, every Parish should at least have Youth Clubs as a part- time youth worker it always saddens me to see teachers pressured with this role. I started off volunteering then qualified in Youth and Community Degree as well as a part-time Flight Attendant., however I fulljoy working with young people.

  2. The crime in Jamaica has nothing to do with being poor. These individuals when caught can afford the best lawyers to beat the case. It is more the mentality of the young youths and their approach in life. Jamaica has one of the lowest unemployment rate in the region but yet crime is high.

    1. A lot of people would agree with you . However poverty can lead to despair and individuals may move into criminal activity to survive the day . Respect

  3. Taxi operators will help fund it why you think it was so important to put in the laws before the announcement of thus budgets

  4. Everytime there is a killing u people say killing is every where Jamaica is too small for so much killing plus we nu make guns kmt

  5. I use to look forward to lunch time at school more than dinner time at home… more sugar on the bbq chicken, the shredded veggies, more salt and msg..

  6. The crime is totally out of control with no solution in sight. Punishment for crimes in Jamaica is non-existent. Criminals are not deterred at all. The smallest disputes end with someone losing their life. The solution lies in hearts being changed. Only Jesus can truly change hearts.

  7. This state of emergency is a waste of time in Jamaica, because if they not given the police the power to go flush out dutty bwoy then it no mek no sense.
All this is doing is to let dutty bwoy go some where else to go set up shop and continue their crimes.

These dutty bwoys was already notified by the same Minister to get out before they lock down the place.

  8. The government should provide an excellent business environment, and the business community and the private sector should drive productivity. Stop waiting on the government to solve all the country’s problems. We must do our part.

  9. Wowwow omg smh 😲 🤦 my brothers and sisters from another mother from around the world we are living in some crazy crazy times too much gunmens going around robbing people and killing them off and too much guns coming into our little little island 🏝 country call Jamaica 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲

  10. How can murders b deterred when criminals know that the govt measures r laughable. They know they will get a tap on the hand back from sympathetic judges n archaic laws, so they’re embolden.

  11. This kind of crime stems from self hatred. The people in Jamaica do not love themselves or each other. Education must be required for everyone in Jamaica. The government must educate them about the laws and the importance of obeying the laws. They must learn how to love and respect each other. The culture of Jamaica is harsh, including the way how people communicate. A kind tone can make a difference.

  12. We badly need a criminal drop box securely placed in public area so we can drop information about criminals for crime fighters
