  1. Same thing every day as a vendor myself the government needs to address the issue now”
    its been happening over 20years

    1. No, the ppl need to address the fact that every politician is a lier & voting achieves nothing! We don’t need a govt that puts Our $$ in their pockets!

    1. Absolutely agree. However some of these vendors did not procure their goods the legal way ( not the ones on camera) these are the persons adding to the mayhem on our roadsides they just set up shop anywhere co mingling with decent vendors and sell. So on the flip side you have farmers reeling from the effects of pradial larceny …and it is these persons that do not want to pay the fees associated with vending as they just want to reap all the benefits…

  2. Prosperity at its best , the worst part of it the law enforcers that r there treating people bad it the same thing most of them parents do to send them a school and then them a behave so like them don’t have any heart

    1. Good work police??people in the market selling their products an making a honest living when alot of murder raping an robbery before them go an talk with the people them you saying good work police

  3. As difficult as it is. It is necessary what happens if there’s a fire and you can’t get access, the actual obstruction is a fire hazard. Peoples lives will be lost. I agree about the time. Perhaps the fire service could have observed before they decided to run a training operation on a busy market day. The argument about petty larceny is nothing more than petty. With all that commerce I think it’s pretty obvious a bigger market area would be the answer. Can’t have people paying for pitches, and not able to sell their products. The fire service and police service could’ve dealt with this differently instead of turning up at the scene like big bout yah.

  4. Ignorance along with murder is ruining Jamaica, if a fire drill should take 15-20 mins and it takes 25 minutes, something is not right, higglers are always so boisterous, they do not never worry about safety, only the root of all evil the almighty dollar, and blames the authorities

  5. Smh they’re not going to stop pressure poor people . This is a warning stop trying to push the people to there limit !!!!!

  6. Why are we building a new parliament when poor people need a new market to feed there families. The ministers offices have ac and the latest technology anything come out them get it..why did they open the market with no stalls for the vendor to cover themselves from rain and sun.then you sending police and talking about fire..if they had fix the place properly and spend the money they to spend to ensure the market is in proper working condition the vendors would not have the need to put tarpaulin…and this is why we see crime and violence in Jamaica now you going to send police out to abuse these people..where is Government that made all different kind of promises

  7. The fire should have been address before you send the people dem in the market..spend the money and fix the place properly don’t come after the fact and treat these people like they are nothing..they spend money to buy the tarpaulin who is going to compensate them for that… Don’t the pay a fee to sell in the market
