So, I guess my mis-treated, hard-working microwave is the exception – no wait! I have TWO that are the exception, both coming up on 20-years of service-free daily operation. Also, trying to service the microwave when you are not a technician can result in deadly-electrocution EVEN WHEN UNPLUGGED FROM THE ELECTRICAL SOURCE. Very important to note that.

I’ve repaired my microwave three times…twice was the fuse and once when the door got slammed and shifted the contact block.
