A man's profanity-laced temper tantrum over a crying baby aboard a Southwest flight traveling across Florida has gone viral after footage of the melee was released online this week. The plane, bound for Fort Lauderdale, was rerouted to Orlando after the incident "due to weather," a Southwest spokesperson told USA TODAY on Thursday.
"It was a little bumpy and uncomfortable for everyone and the child was upset, but we couldn't get up because of the weather, and we were strapped in our seats," Mark Grabowski, a passenger on the flight who recorded the video, told local station FOX 35.

What is wrong with people?
He can’t control himself but expects a baby to do so. Southwest should have handed out ear plugs. I feel sorry for the Mom I hope someone is asking her how they can help her and not just filming like a jerk. Mom is stressed out by the baby screaming in her ear AND the stress she’s causing everyone on the flight – which this guy is making worse.

“filming like a jerk” is how bad behavior gets caught on camera as proof of said bad behavior.

Saltytroop, the parents should have been able to calm their baby! 45 minutes is a long time! If your child doesn’t travel well, you shouldn’t expect other people to be okay being trapped in with you having to listen to that for hours!
This man lost his patience. The parents of that child should have been taken off the flight. You have to be able to take care of your children and keep them calm. It’s the parents responsibility!
The parents were probably trying their best to calm the baby. A baby under a certain age has no concept of controlling itself, however a grown adult man does. If we as adults want to be a part of society, we’re expected to behave a certain way. Nobody else on that flight was acting out like the man was. He should’ve bought noise canceling headphones and thought about the fact that once this flight is over he likely won’t ever have to see any of the other passengers again.
Yes, that sounds like a great idea. The next time a baby cries during a flight, they should just yeet them all out the exit 🙄 . You make no sense…..

I am sure there are ways to calm a baby down, draw their attention to something somehow. I also understand the man’s frustration.
You say that until you realize how congested babies are just like on the regular, now imagine a tiny human, super congested, with their little ears popping. It’s painful when your ears pop when your sick and you fly right?? Now imagine you’re only way to communicate that pain is crying… why do people like just not understand babies?? They can’t talk to us dude, can’t tell us what they need to make them feel better, and in a moment like this there is nothing the parent can do but love on them and soothe them, but they’re in pain!!

As if the mom hasn’t been trying for 40 minutes to shut baby up. I’m sure she feels even worse now.
