Shark shows up at U.S. Coast Guard’s swim call

A video shows a U.S. Coast Guard crew member firing shots near a shark to steer it away from crewmates who were taking a dip in the Pacific Ocean.

    1. The Rounds basically dissipate when they strike the water and lose all energy so the shark will of been fine, it’s more the stunning effect used by making the loud bangs in its vicinity to move it off in time to get the swim call to safety

  4. Dad was on the Campbell in the early 50’s. Ships photographer I believe. He had an 8mm film of swim call and sharks being shot with a Garand.
