    1. @Iso Sebryl I will! I switched from Indepedent to Democrat after Jan 6th. That made me decide I wanted nothing to do with were the GOP is right now and there was no other stronger way to let them know.

    2. @Maureen Harrison oh yes donald playing chess. Hope he doesnt mate himself with a knight this time. It was embarassing enough the last time it happened

    1. @Cap’n Crunch How did you come up with this bill costing you 9.1% of your monthly income? Gas prices are up globally, due to recovery of a global pandemic. They have been dropping 7 weeks straight.

  1. Looking forward to my next door neighbour’s big step in pulling up their own bootstraps. Welcome to the 21st century America.

  2. Meanwhile, the staff at Mar A Lago are busy cleaning ketchup off the wall after Trump threw his Happy Meal in a fit of rage from watching this!😅

    1. @P D taxes going towards subsidized medicine where government is the one negotiating for prices sounds great. I dont know how you are okay with big pharma gouging us and having no one negotiating for us is fine. Every single other developed nation has their government negotiating for drug prices and they pay less for their healthcare per person.

    2. @samuel mcmillin but if we just lower corporate taxes to 0 all around Im sure the trickle will come! – sincerely GQP

    3. @samuel mcmillin lol most of it is from the government archive I’m Shure you know how to use the internet.

  3. I love that Republicans always say that “abortion and gun safety aren’t at the top of people’s voting priorities it’s inflation and gas prices” but then provide 0 reasons why someone would vote for them since they don’t run on any policy anymore.

    1. @emort6 There’s one more thing Trump did to ignore the pandemic.
Sowed doubt in the very vaccine he wanted credit for.
Thanks for the help proving my point.

    2. @Marvin Guigar Yeah, because it doesn’t go far enough for him. Too many open loopholes only 15% minimum corporate tax, …

  4. Please give me a minute to share with you a list of GOP policies to help America 🤔🤔🤔 Thank you for your time on this matter, Hopefully I didn’t take to much time out of your day!!!

    1. @Alvin Johnson “Americans have to stop spending money”. Nice of you. Like when daddy spends his salary on weed and cheap alchol and tells the children: why do you need so much money to go to school?
Supply and demand argument? Really? In 2022? The UK is forecasting a recession, the US is already in one, but you believe its because of the v shaped recovery the world is in?

    1. Raising taxes means people will lose their jobs and the price of whatever the product will increase simple. This is a loss

    2. @seba.1017lindsey They say that every time corporations and the superrich are asked to pitch in at least a fraction of their fair share. The truth is that the middle class and working class did best when corporations payed 70+% taxes on wealth exceeding a certain threshhold (= decadently rich). The more they eroded the responsibilities of corporations and the wealthy, the more the middle class was eroded and the more precarious the situation of the working class became. You have to force the rich to pitch in and they will be dragged to live up to their responsibilies kicking and screaming. And of course they will use lies (“trickle down economics”) and tricks (pass down costs to workers/customers) to get out of it. Congress has to pass new laws to punish their tricks if they try that (up the minimum wage, beef up consumer protection, …).

  5. Dems need to list the accomplishments over the last two years. Name them one by one in every advertisement!

    1. @emort6 All these comments and the democrats still cant name a single thing any democrat politician has done for any American that didn’t involve China, Ukraine, Russia and a family member.

    2. @blue ocean 1961 They aren’t using them because there is nothing there. You should learn a little bit about the oil industry before you make silly claims like that. A permit allows a oil company to go into an area and test to see if it’s economically viable to set up an oil rig. If there isn’t enough oil then the permit isn’t used. You really think they just get a permit and immediately set up a rig? and they all have enough oil to be profitable? XD

Edit: and even at $1 under the record that was set last month it’s still $1.85 more then in January 2021. That’s still a 90% increase.

  6. This neighbour to the north is very pleased for all my friends and relatives in America. The door to this century has finally opened a crack!

    1. because this will hurt us more. Look for inflation to rise. Even Bernie Sanders says so. This bill will hurt you.

  7. To be honest medical and drugs is very expensive in this country 7 years I don’t have medical insurance because I can’t afford it I have a lot of bills to pay every month I don’t have if many people is like me but I love this bill I hope it’s going to help a lot of people

    1. If you are a single person and if your income is below 32k you can get government assistance for Healthcare. If you are above it, and insurance is not affordable get a better job. My employer insurance is only like $120 a month and my job deposits $104 into a hsa each month 🙃.

    2. You will be paying more in taxes from every paycheck to pay for this bill. How is that going to help you? You are going to have less money than before.

    3. @Vancedthobe Hill A lot of jobs that offer health insurance are expensive for employees. My annual health insurance premium to support my family is just under $7,000. I also interviewed at another place it was maybe $1,000 cheaper but covered less. A friend of mine in another state had a similar cost through their employer and chose to go without. My previous employer was maybe $2,000 cheaper but my deductible was 3 times as much. So hold on to your job, because it’s hard to find ones that don’t cost a lot for insurance.

    1. Thanks to CNN we had a vigorous discussion of the pros and cons of what was in the bill. NO WAIT this is not a news network – of course we did not. Since this was a democratic spending bill all you heard was crickets from CNN.

    2. @Iris Hewlett that’s because while inflation has taken over our wages haven’t increased as the cost of living has increased, which is something they wanted to do in the build back better is raise the minimum wage but unfortunately some of the Democrats were against it guess who the usual two who are also against the ending the filibuster.

  8. The 15% corporate tax increase will hopefully bring our mid-century infrastructure in the latter 20th c.

    1. Congress just passed a $1.2 trillion infrastructure package six months ago. This bill does nothing for infrastructure. Raising taxes on the 55 fortune 500 companies that paid nothing will bring in a pathetic 9 billion a year.

    2. @kk5383 As if the repubs care about the infrastructure anyway they voted against that too! Your point is moot.

    3. @melted cheetah it was bipartisan. If 13 Republicicans in the house and 19 in the senate it would not have passed. Jamal bowman corey Bush AOL ilhan ohma ayanna presley voted against. Do some research.

  9. Yet another positive bill that will help Americans that not one GOP Senator voted for. Wake up GOP voters

    1. Enjoy the expanded IRS audit program. Statistically they target Middle Class and below, just saying.

    1. Thanks President Biden and Democrats Congress for the inflation reduction bill. It will help Americans. By the way just so we know not one republicans approved the bill. Are they ever going to help Americans with high prices? The answer is no. Remember that at the ballot box

  10. I am grateful; just as most ordinary Americans are; about the bill, but it sure would be nice if the super rich would help out instead of making things more difficult.

    1. This bill is for the rich. Wake up and seek the real TRUTH. They missed out on telling you about auditing you to make sure you pay for the cost of this bill. Inflation will continue to rise.

  11. Thank you to the DEMOCRATS that voted to pass this bill, for the many hours of dedication that will actually make a difference for all of us. it would be nice if republicans were dedicated & gave a sh** about everyday people & not just the wealthy & companies packing their pockets 😡 some hard no understanding of what the bill means & others flat don’t care! as long as they can lie their faces off, try to fill people with total BS & make Democrats look like we aren’t doing anything when in fact Dem’s are doing everything, trying their hardest to be bipartisan, but this pack of republicans are impossible 😤🙄😡 they all gotta go!!!!
