CDC guidelines are not laws. So much of procedure in America isn’t codified in law, and Trump and his sycophants have been illustrating how weak the US system is being largely based on traditions and precedent and not actual written law. It’s a ridiculous way to run a country, which is why not a single other successful democracy in the world is structured this way.

If the House would impeach Trump for accepting emoluments, they might give Schumer something to work with that he can actually use to disrupt the proceedings. Trump and these GOP Senators’ judgement should be in question at this point. They should not be qualified to pick a Supreme Court Justice if they can’t follow simple guidelines on a deadly, global pandemic.
It’s extremely simple, they aren’t qualified to do their job because they aren’t doing their job. Their priority is electing a Supreme Court Justice and not serving the people by addressing the elephant now literally in the room – COVID 19. You ever hear that expression that ‘you wouldn’t know x if it hit you over the head’?
That’s the level of ignorance, incompetence, and neglect now literally transpiring in the GOP. Democrats want to help a nation under siege of COVID 19. Republicans are only interested in political power and an election they are losing because of it. They’re listening to their political leader instead of experts and common sense. They’re listening to special interest groups at the literal damage to American lives.
There are better uses of their time than attacking Ginsburg’s legacy with ruthless efficiency. Their objective is to not just stunt but reverse decades of American progress.
