Here is a little dose of truth: Americans have a world full of friends who still want America to be great. Trump has been a wake-up for everyone about how easy it is to become a dictatorship. A single vote is our most powerful force and should be caste with care. Trump’s first victims have been Americans. Although, how he won office when a large majority voted against him; that’s evidence that some votes are more equal than others. Stay safe and I wish all Americans well.

@J. HO – I’ve always been puzzled by the American political system. Not criticising; trying to understand within the American historical context. The constitution is powerfully worded but universal sufferage took ages; not unusual. America turfed out a monarch to replace him with a POTUS with similar power. The UK parliament has exported it’s system of government across the globe but not so much America. In many regards, parliamentary cabinet governments entrust a PM with more power (locally) than a POTUS. Not true given Trump’s bastardised interpretation and implementation of POTUS. The most powerful person in America today isn’t Trump but Moscow Mitch. Anyone who prevents congressional bills from being considered is abusing there position and denying the will of the people. No such power exists to the best of my knowledge. Ultimately what I see is the application of corruption within the federal government that would not happen but for corrupt accomplices like Barr and Moscow Mitch. Power exists whether or not legitimate when an administration ignores the constitution and statutes without consequences. This is power, raw and corrupt. I doubt any system of government would survive first contact with anyone as corrupt as Trump.
