    1. For the next time, yes, but after then you might have to be a bit more careful. The nutters, should Republicans continue being the losing party, will start to run as Democrats.

  1. All the witnesses in the world wouldn’t have convinced the 43 senators who voted to acquit Trump to change their minds. Trump himself could have showed up, grabbed the mic, and admitted he was guilty, and the vote would have been the same. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    1. Great article on just this (the dems decision to not drag out the trial). If anything, it would of cost dems conviction votes and seriously undermined Biden’s crucial agenda.

    2. Yes.
They were never going to get the remaining 10 votes.
It would just have kept distracting from the Biden agenda.

  2. The 57 who voted “Aye”, did so with their heads held high.
The 43 who voted “No”, are just the lowest of the low.
🇺🇸 We should always choose country over party!

    1. @LASH_OF_THE_ 9TAIL As am I … since that’s are point. You are a bunch of lying, frauds. Turn to Trump and save yourself 😆

  3. Yeah, but “most bipartisan impeachment trial vote in history” is a very sad statement one need to utter. A presidential impeachment isn’t something that should be common to the point that we need make historical comparisons in so many regards like bipartisanship, votes to convict, etc.

    1. Tells you we can’t trust them to police themselves. We need new laws that create a standard by which someone can run for office an that holds people in office accountable.

  4. I am not sure they should pat themselves on the back too hard. I find it shocking that those were the only Republican senators who crossed over in this situation. The rest of them are traitors in my opinion.

  5. The standards are gone. People should be “happy” that some voted to convict a criminal when ALL should have convicted it. WTF?

    1. @Mimzy Jinx if not mistaken, there’s a video of you at the capital on January 6th that needs to be forwarded to the FBI?

  6. McConnell wants to “have it both ways” to appease rich donors and willfully ignorant voters choosing leaders with unquestioning blind faith — to pretend he cares about truth while reaping benefits from acting to reject it. HYPOCRISY is a core Republican value.

  7. Thanks to the magnificent seven, who put the country first. Hopefully one day the rest of the Republican party will be up to the job and put the country first.
