Sen. Elizabeth Warren Rides Populist Wave With 'Burning Toaster' Approach To Wall Street | MSNBC
Warren isn’t overselling the progressive goals, she’s focusing on the analysis of the problems. There are many.
@Toward Treatise corporations account for less than 8% of all federal revenue and some of them pay ZERO! People account for 85% of all revenue. The jig is up. Funny thing is they told FDR the same thing…”But you would think, to hear some people talk, that those good people who live at the top of our economic pyramid are being taxed into rags and tatters…A number of my friends who belong in the very high upper brackets have suggested to me on several occasions of late, that if I am reelected president, they will have to move to some other Nation because of high taxes here. Now I will miss them very much.”
@Ann O’Halloran what politician isn’t focused on their personal power? I think she’s still picking her teeth with the carcass that is Bloomberg’s candidacy. That’s a pitiful attempt at a troll.
@HiSomebody TrackingMuch? Yup…they’re trying to seize back the narrative. A successful Warren is a monkey wrench to their whole scheme.
Real Talk76 and I’m against that. Monopolies violate the separation of powers. But it would be sad if he’s right, because those taxed working people aren’t going to be working if there’s no company hiring them. Liberals are who are making the world globalist in a world much different from FDR’s. The hiring will be missed alright.
@Toward Treatise if rich people leave, there will be new rich people because the void will be filled. They can take their money but not the demand for goods and services. And if they want to go…”BYE FELICIA.” Good luck in some other country without the same standards and infrastructure as the USA. Corruption and extortion tends to rule the day in other places. Have fun with that.
Hi Ari.👋☺.
The swamp definitely doesn’t want to see an anti-corruption hawk like Warren elected.
@Saynoto Socialists Warren is not part of the swamp, she is not as progressive as Bernie, that’s it. She’s the second most progressive person to run for POTUS ever, I get tired of all this sill false equivalency BS.
Apparently neither does the electorate. Bernie is unstoppable but you won’t hear any truth from these paid spokesmodels. Try Independent media like The Hill Rising. You are being misinformed and manipulated.
Dave Schultz , I find it ironic the democrats still say Russia helped Trump win , even though the mueller report didn’t find any evidence of that , but yet democrats know the hildabeast and dnc stole the election from Bernie , and are apparently doing it again , but yet socialists still support the democrat party blindly 🙄
@3LD lool. You’re wrong. She isn’t.
We are suppose to be a Representative Democracy. However, we have two entities in place that undermines this:
1) The electoral college, that effects the White House, 2) The Senate, that represents land, not people
While representation in our government should be the goal, representation of our votes SHOULD NOT.
NO ONE should represent your vote, via “delegates”, “electors”, coin toss, or a deck of cards.
FYI: You are voting for a delegate, not your candidate.
Did you know, delegates are “pledged” to a candidate, however, NOT legally bound to them?
Brokered Convention insanity: http://a.msn.com/01/en-us/BB10uqFS?ocid=se2
And for god sake, get rid of Plurality Voting (and it’s spoiler effect): https://youtu.be/7mYPACssLbI
Toward Treatise Makes incoherent strawman followed by “That is what your side wants”
OK BOOMER
Dakota what’s straw man specifically then? 40 percent of the democrat voting base wants true economic socialism. And I’m not a boomer even.
Dakota are you going to read Harvard’s law review? Because you should. Maybe read the Constitution first, seems like we should accept the law is law while it’s still at least within the grasp of the separation of power and what’s actually against authoritarianism down to your dollar.
Dakota I guess you made me mad. And you know what? It’s wise to listen to those who have lived more life than you.
Dakota and it’s a declaration of prejudice, I thought liberals were inclusive too when I was one.
I bought an expensive toaster years ago and still caught fire 😂
It is PRICELESS to watch Mitch McConnell describe the looming threat of Warren as “Pretty unenthusiastic…”. I hope everyone really gets out to vote the Republican senate majority out and a Democratic President in. #Bernie2020
It’s been my personal experience with people who have worked as special education teachers that they are fully intellectually engaged and empathetic. It sounds as if Warren has been fighting on behalf of the common American for many years. It’s also clear that Mitch McConnell has always been on the side of his fellow billionaires. He must do some pretty fast talking to get the people of Kentucky to fall for his crap.
Kathryn Shaw it’s clear you’ve never been a teacher or had to survive on peanuts and work a night job just to survive. Let me educate you: as a former inner city teacher I can tell you that Bernie’s plan to start teacher salaries at 60000 and cancel student debt and triple funds for Title I schools is real. Your flowery words about Federalist Society former Republican Tin Litzy makes me think you’re a stranger to the inner city and grossly uninformed about her history and to the real plight of the bottom 50% of us who are on the edge. Go serve the poor and forget your fake dime store progressive who takes orders from billionaires now. She’s over and will even lose her home state. Self inflicted fang marks. The snake changes her skin too often.Research before pontification please.
Populist wave, lmao.
Good job, Ari!
👍👍👍👍👍
More people need to see this!
Can we the People of the United States just have Sanders/Warren or Warren/Sanders? They NEED to be in charge of this country. They know what’s up. They have identified the problems, their causes, and the best solutions to benefit the most Americans. They are smart, persistent, enthusiastic, compassionate, and tough. They are what we desperately need to fix this mess. You know if they were in charge right now they’d be caring more about the health and wellness of these citizens of America than they would be about the stock market.
I think her only chance at winning the nomination is by having the DNC steal it from Sanders.
#Benie2020
As time goes on the media sees that BERNIE is winning so they try to pick the least progressive .. then a little more then Buttigieg.. now WARREN but the people the real democracy of America want BERNIE Sanders..
Warren lies as much as Trump.
Warren is a liar. I used to support her, even donated to her, but I have watched her straight up lying and can’t stomach her anymore.
#Warren2020 Love her
Warrior Warren….Fighting for the underdog !
Thank you. We need more depth stories about the candidates, especially very qualified women in the race ✌️ like this!
“I’m more Bernie than Bernie. That’s why if you want Bernie, you should vote for me.” -Elizabeth Warren
