  1. Some of the worst countries for human rights make all the money from oil. Do we need another reason to stop buying oil that makes them wealthier and more powerful?

  2. I am unable to raise the volume and clearly hear this otherwise fascinating conversation.

    1. @Jennifer Zitomer
      😂 I detect the sarcasm.
Tell you what, if they have a toilet roll shortage again… well, I feel the nee to share this
      👉 *True Story Year: 1928*
      Toilet paper wasn’t invented yet.
My dad (yes, dad, not grandfather) was 8 years old at the time.
The “Sears and Roebuck” catalog just came out.
It was made out of newspaper.
After the family finished reading it, he chose to crinkle up each piece into a ball to make it “less rough” which took about a 3 hours.
      He carefully unraveled each piece.
Then, he put them into a pile and placed them in the outhouse.
Hence, “The *softer* side of Sears” indeed!
We could use the Medicare book. (A.k.a Government book of drugs this time if it happens. Free paper!
I used my book for the fireplace this past winter. Gotta save on those heating costs.
The apple doesn’t fall far from that tree.
      Zero trees cut! 🌲
We don’t need media to use our brains.
My dad grew up without television.
      Have a blessed day. 🕊

    2. Right?! My speaker is at Max and I can hardly hear. As soon as an advert pops up it’ll be blarìng, again!!
      WTF YT????

  3. Where does the electricity for the Tesla chargers come from? Serious question.

Also if we don’t have enough power to run everyone A/C in California, how would there be enough energy to plug in everyone’s electric cars every night?

What percent of California energy come from fossil fuels?

    1. @Rusty Key Once again: I asked for a _comparison_ between lithium mining and fossil fuel extraction. I didn’t ask you to keep telling us why oil spills aren’t that bad.

    2. @Tessmage Tessera
We depend on things that can’t be made out of anything else but petroleum distillates/by-products.
We are not going to be off of fossil fuels in less than a hundred years for sure.

    3. @Tessmage Tessera
By the way, I wasn’t explaining to you why oil spills weren’t that bad.
I was showing you that fossil fuels are not the big bad boogie man you’ve been brainwashed into believing it is.
      Answer my questions.

  4. Don’t know what you’re talking about we need to be energy independent like we were under Donald Trump then wecan phase-out gasoline only when we have affordable electric cars an availability it’s not rocket science

    1. @Joe Schneider If I was going to dig a hole in your yard for the power would you like me to just dig it however I want or follow regulations.
Regulations are in place to protect all parties concerned.
Letting a oil company decide how to dig their own wells and mines would not turn out well for the animals, the environment and the people living around it.
The BERKELEY PIT in Butte Montana is a perfect example of what happens when regulations are overlooked.
We have a full time person that shoots at the birds trying to land in the toxic lake created by the pit- so they do not die from landing in it.

  5. “All it takes is for the House and the Senate to pass the resolutions.” And that’s why it won’t happen.

    1. We cannot get anything passed currently- this has become a vote against you only because you are from the other party situation.

  6. Wrong over commercialization of oil always lead to conflict not our addiction oil consumption is necessary.

    1. @Gol D. Roger that is a troll account trying to give people a virus thru that link. People just need to click on the right side after the comment and report as spam.

  7. The age of consent was at 7 years old in the state of delaware in 1880, this is the world record

  8. The current situation has taught us we cannot stay independent on oil.
Democrats wish to start spending money to find a solution
Republicans want us to depend on fossil fuels more..
Decide if you wish to be part of the solution or part of the Problem

  9. I’m 62 years old now. I was in ecology in the 70s, we had commercial talking about pollution. I have spent my life in the car field. We need to change now.

  10. It’s past time we make the big move to pivot off gasoline in regard to our ground transportation system. This has been going on since the 1970’s. We’re all being held hostage to the whims and greed of 6 oil companies and OPEC. Make it a national priority like we did the Space Race. We created new industries, jobs and wealth from that investment. We did it before and we can do it again but we have to remove those who stand in the way of our national and human progress. Yes, that means you to Manchin.

  11. I think it’s hilarious that they’re calling energy production an “addiction”. I guess breathing and eating are addictions too, in their book.

  12. That is why we need to change to clean power! How can war break out over wind or solar energy? I know the Christian think losing oil or coal power is the end of the world. God provided the sun, wind and water on top of the earth, hello! He didn’t want us to work that hard for energy because he did it for us.

  13. People that doesn’t like oil do not ride in a car tires are made out of oil.Aspalt is made out of oil.

  14. Putin is a War Criminal!! My band a I professionally produced a couple of Peace Songs in Chicago recently. If you click on the sleeping tiger icon you can check them out. Thanks for listening. Peace in Ukraine!!
