Trump thinks he’s being clever. No one bought into the idea that Trump is a great negotiator more than Trump himself. Walking away from the table, then coming back, is a 15-year old’s idea of hotshot negotiation skills. It helps if you’re pumped up with drugs.

No bailout for airlines. We already know all they will do is pocket the money and still fire whoever they need to in order to make their next bonus.
Rather than bailing them out, the government should partially nationalize them. For any money they receive, we, the American people, need to receive voting stock. In that way, in future, we can prevent some of their more nefarious actions, like squeezing in so many row of seats, customers fight over the right to recline their seats.

Either pocket the money or do some stock buyback to increase their value before they plunge again so that their shareholders can sell high.
