Andrea Mitchell is joined by Senator Bob Menendez (D- NJ), the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the highest ranking Latino and Cuban American in Congress, to weigh in on the widespread protests against the Cuban regime surging across the island. Sen. Menendez “applauds” the White House for their statements of solidarity with the Cuban people and urges people to “internationalize” the Cuban people's fight for human rights by speaking out against the regime.

Sen. Bob Menendez: ‘We Have To Challenge The Regime’ In Cuba | MSNBC
Look how shiny it is lmao
Not funny how the US has overturned democratically elected Presidents throughout Latin America, and replaced them with dictators who protect US corporate business interests there. Russia got to Cuba first and Cuba didn’t let us install our dictator.
Thanks Pinochet great man he was
The US has for over a century committed crimes/atrocities in South and Central America. The “Banana Wars’, CIA removal of elected leaders per US Presidential request, “Operation Condor”, the “School of the Americas”, Iran-Contra etc.
Who cares though. Cubans are suffering, this isn’t About history or the Cuban politics versus American politics, the fact is cuban human beings are suffering and we need to intervene
I think they’d prefer American companies than starving.
@Joe Doe Let’s recall one other fact of history: How many US interventions have led to an actual reduction of human suffering anywhere?
Stop the US embargo on the suffering people of Cuba! They are our neighbors and it behooves us to be kind and helpful to them – we both would stand to gain by nurturing a friendship with Cuba.
You have no idea what your talking about. Regardless if we lift the embargo, the Cuban people will still lack any basic freedom. What we should do is tighten our grip on the embargo and not allow any support, this will allow them to fail and it will get bad but it will hopefully force them to change. The fact we provide a lifeline to these dictators, allows them to continue to oppress the Cuban people
@Joe Doe shoot most Cubans voted for a wanna be dictator here…..Trump and republican party who want to replace democracy here with a fascist dictatorship….If any body should know better about dictatorships its them.
first challenge your own regime. A regime what see the January 6 events as a normal day in capitol. This regime is made of clowns
ese tipo si sabe lo q esta hablando
Where has this FOOL been hiding! I guess since it doesn’t make him money it dont make sense! A crooked way of thinking?!
Is someone keeping track of all these volunteers for the next Bay of Pigs?
If it oinks like a pig…send it to the bay
🍺
if they follow El Salvador’s example of using bitcoin as legal tender we would be able to send money with no fees….but that would take the government to accept it and that doesn’t look like an option
Cuba, Haiti? Next-War-itis? Memory is short. And foggy.
Both Trump and now Biden view Cuba through their own political agendas. Florida has a large percentage of the Cuban American population. With the electoral delegates at stake in the state, neither party wants to risk alienating that group of voters. The people of Cuba proper don’t register at all to them.
STAND UP CUBA 🇨🇺 DONT STOP TILL YOU HAVE FREEDOM !!! America Stands with You 🇺🇸
Amen
America is the reason they have the embargo which is causing them to have food shortages.
just a matter of time before these traitors are arrested in congress
“It’s Starting NOW, None Of Us Are Safe” | Edward Snowden (LAST WARNING)
Andrea Mitchell is disappointed with Sen. Menendez response to her questions.
The Cubans people need FREEDOM RIGHT NOW!
You cannot invade Cuba. The USA (Kennedy) already promised never to invade Cuba, whe Russia removed its missiles.
Oh YES WE CAN understand OPPRESSION in the US, cause WE HAVE IT HERE, SENATOR! MSNBC NEEDS TO COVER THE REAL STORIES, instead of FILTERING IT IN FAVOR OF THEIR CORPORATE REGIMES!!!
