See the moment Tennessee GOP House members expel Democratic Rep.

Tennessee’s Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted to expel Democratic Rep. Justin Pearson a week after he and two other Democrats led a gun reform protest on the House floor. The House earlier expelled Rep. Justin Jones, then failed to expelled Rep. Gloria Johnson, over the protest following a mass shooting at a Nashville school. #CNN #News

    1. @xzro  Listen to Gloria Johnson’s comments after not being expelled. She didn’t mention anything about her gender being the factor that she remained and the others didn’t.

    1. @D F I went through and looked at every single persons profile on their State website. Didn’t find a single black GOP member

  1. People who are no longer represented should not pay their state taxes until they are represented again. No taxation without representation!

    1. @Jessie Joseph Sales tax is 9.5%. Franchise/Excise tax on businesses is shockingly high, which mostly affects small business.

  2. If there is anything to thank Republicans for it is they have woken a fire within the People to engage in the political process and exercise their right to participate in Representative Democracy.

  3. I think they will be sorry for doing this and it could turn Tennessee purple. No one wants our children unsafe.

    1. @Zeroth1507 there were only 80 state police officers at Ulvulde listening to children being shot because they were too cowardly to confront one gunman. You need to look up how many police officers are employed in America, across the whole of America. The answer is approximately 750,000. Then look at the number of schools there are in America. You will find you need to triple the size of the police forces across the country just to give basic cover for each school. This is assuming you can find enough people to train and deploy as police officers to face AR15’s. Are you willing to pay for this?!

  4. Idiocracy? Or is it mayhaps rather the *Horror* version of Idiocracy that is unfolding over yonder in USA these days?

It sure is a sad sight, to say it mildly.
Best wishes to all you good sensible democracy-appreciating people over there; don’t give up the good fight!

  5. i weep for our country in the almost 7 decades i been here i have seen a lot, war’s, racial tension’s and the plain human tragedy.i have always stayed bipartisan and tried to stand behind every one of our president’s” we have to change” we used to stand as one people we can do that again, no more divisive politician’s, i stand with every American no matter what their color, or belief’s they have, their gender, sexuality none of these things matter would not the world be a boring place if we were all the same.

  6. The two young men intimidate the entire republican party in Tennessee. They’re not going anywhere, they’ll be the future of Tennessee in a much better way.

  7. Meanwhile Clarence Thomas, his spouse and company continue their corruptive ways without accountability. I hope this sparks a wave of protests and activism like never before.

    1. Not sure about corruptive but definately proactive. Keep up the good work Honorable Clarence Thomas 👍
