  1. I was so astonished to hear Marc Short’s testimony that he had to inform the Vice President’s security detail on January 5 that the President might lash out in some way because Pence wouldn’t go along with Trump’s plan. I don’t know how anyone in any way, shape, form, or interpretation, finds this to be okay.

    1. @Kirk Johnson Perhaps you need to do more research. 5 people died as a result of the insurrection/ attempted coup, including a Capitol Police officer. That does not describe an ultra peaceful protest.

We seem to disagree on the definition of certain words.

  2. I want to know who were the 2 Justices that Eastman thought would vote in their favor to overthrow the will of the voters.

And more importantly, how did he come to that conclusion?!

  3. Anyone understanding of the policy of the secret service understands why Ashley Babit was engaged and why then they let go of the chamber. I remember seeing an OD green trooper leader stationed at the exit from the cspan that day when pence was escorted out of the chamber.
Those idiots wouldn’t have reached within 150 ft of the vp. They would have all died

    1. @1hartzag IF you don’t want to engage, the move is to not reply. I do care about your opinion, which is why I replied. I want o hear the reasoned opinions of those that differ from mine; it’s how I refine my own opinions.

The hallmarks of dishonest actors are ad hominems and fallacious arguments. You are 2 for 2.

But I am glad you took the time to reply and tell me you didn’t read my comments, and don’t care about my opinion. Maybe you’ll reply to this one and continue to tell me you don’t care, and didn’t read it. It’ll be our thing!

    2. @1hartzag I guess I missed the part where I said you personally attacked me? I said you used ad homs though, which is true, but that more means you are insulting me. Just like you are doing here.

Like I already said, I’m interested in engaging with people who have different opinions than mine, so I can refine MY opinions. I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind, as that seems somewhat pointless with this format. But you probably know my intentions better than I do, even though we are complete strangers who know nothing about one another.

    3. @1hartzag “I got the information I shared with you was from an attorney.”
I wonder if all attorneys share the opinion of the one you got this information from. This tells me two things: You are not a lawyer, and you are very good at describing confirmation bias.

  4. They are forgetting about Eugene Goodman who lead the Rioters away from Mike Pence. Please DO NOT forget that.

    1. Yea that crowd was blood thirsty many died many left for dead oh wait no it wasn’t but they did burn the building!!!! Oh wait no they didn’t do that. Wait im confused what did they do?

    2. @Pedro The Mexican Are you talking about Mexico or the US. I know Mexico has had plenty of revolutions. But there has only been one in the US and that was at it’s founding.

But then you are just a bot because you only have this one thought you keep cutting and pasting.

  5. Scary, what other terror see this, thinking how easy to attacking capital ? Security issues, he need to take the responsibility, 0 Terrance.

    1. @elizzybec Isn’t it interesting how you only care so much about “democratic integrity” with those situations that only involve your opposition?! 🤣😂😅🤣😆🤣😂

  6. 1:47 Welcome to “the House of the Nation”. Please mind your steps if not our skulls. Thank You!

  7. Our current society has ballooned into a much bigger “fight or flight” mentality and it makes it much more dangerous for the rest of us who cannot defend ourselves from such hateful violence.

    1. @Mr Majestic Really. Wow I never heard about that. Just found an article about her arrest but can’t find the video. I’ll take a look around.

    2. 🧔. JA-RULE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURITY…BUT HE DIDN’T HAVE ENOUGH TENTS….😳…wait…wrong NETFLIX SPECIAL…my bad….🍎

  8. In a way, it would have been interesting to see the outcome of the Secret Service having to engage the rioters

    1. @butterflies and dragonflies I think they would have; being said, that the rioters were able to get so close to Pence in the first place is mystifying.

  9. Did TFG really send that message? There’s long words being used, no spelling mistakes and the grammar is correct. It’s out of step with his usual output.

    1. You’re absolutely right, it’s one of the few statements of his that I’ve ever seen that achieves the standard of junior high school English. It’s surprisingly cogent and suspiciously error-free. At least its meaning is as unhinged and inane as usual, while managing to be the most shamefully disingenuous tweet in history.

    2. @Lucas Groves You mean like our current president who can barely close a book and put a coherent sentence together?

      Go take your booster shot.

  10. Why didn’t polosi secure the capital? Trump offered polosi 3000 troops to secure the capital and she refused. In January she will have her own hearing

  11. “See how close rioters got to Pence as they breached the Capitol” and #ConvinceItForward

  12. All they had to do was turn left instead of right, they would have caught the thieves in the nest

  13. Looks like the sergeant in arms should be charged for knowing they were coming and turning down the national guard.
