See GOP lawmaker’s heated response when pressed on key testimony

Before Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper was scheduled to testify behind closed doors, a group of Republicans stormed a secure room, known as the SCIF, in protest. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) spoke with CNN's senior congressional correspondent Manu Raju about what was revealed in top US diplomat in Ukraine Bill Taylor's opening statement.

    1. But the other shoe still needs to drop, and then somebody needs to start closing the stupid curtain. But they can’t cuz everyone’s at Tobin’s house.

    1. @William Burgess Where you stationed? I’d like to see what happens when your USMC superiors hear about you threatening other citizens… Oh wait… you are going to sit there behind your keyboard and continue to blow-hard because you won’t back your words up and get a dishonorable discharge for that…

    1. Tonia Bell
Bradley Burn, or Bum… You should be arrested by the Capital Police for sedition.. Lock them up!!
We don’t care about the substance…. Hypocrites….. Loudmouth Tray Gowdy met many times in that room during two endless years of the Benghazi investigation without Democrats who were not on the committee bursting into the room.. Radical Republicans… Sounds like Lincoln’s cabinet… Lock them up!

  1. The word “snowflake “ comes to mind when I see how the Rethuglicans are acting. The word “guilty” too.

    1. Yep melting snowflakes… a lot like the wicked witch in the wizard of OZ..

I’ve never seen so many grown man have a group temper tantrum before

    1. Seriously, time to show those entitled assholes that they are not above the law. Seems as though they are, just like their President. If I tried something like this I would be in jail right now and never be able to get any job that requires security clearance.

    1. rick Chapman … there was a sergeant in arms to rest those senators. They should have gotten arrested for storming a secure room. This is still a enquiry level which does not need by law any Witness rebuttals until it’s a true impeachment

    1. @cj p you people always push conspiracy theories, but I guess it’s all you have. The Republican members of those committees are present, but leave because they don’t want to have to say they heard credible and damaging information. You guys had better wake up to the fact that this is a criminal who has been a criminal his whole life.

    2. @cj p Republicans are in that room also..they aren’t hiding anything..the idiots that stormed that room like gaetz, are NOT part of “those” committees in there at the moment so have no business in there..but there are Republicans in there that are, so this just proves they are acting like a bunch of jealous nosy old bitties, who want in bc they feel left out and ppl like gaetz, Jordan, n meadows, have nobody to scream at lately n feel ignored…somebody, please buy them an inflatable clown bag..

    3. @LATONYA FUQUA they don’t leave..they just deny hearing what everybody else hears bc they are in major cover-up n denial mode..

    1. @Gregg So the Inspector General is lying?
You seem to think that, if Donald Trump spins a conspiracy, you are forced to change your reality to match his delusional rants.
The whistle blower, like every single solitary whistle blower before them, has been confirmed by the Inspector General and is having their identity protected from the very real threat of retaliation. In this case from the President of the United States.
You are not entitled to know their identity, neither is the President or anyone other than the Inspector General.
The whistle blower, however, by law, is allowed to remain anonymous and I, nor any patriotic person in this country, this world or this universe, gives a God damn what you think you’re entitled to.

    1. @nosuchthing8 show me which part of the transcript Trump told the pm he wouldn’t get money without the investigation?

Not ONCE was Ukrainian aid even mentioned..

Go read up what a theif the last pm was. Why hand over money that might not be used has intended to a brand new pm?

    2. @Audrey Banakas I’ll be lucky to spend 40 minutes in meetings per day..and I have to discuss scopes of work with contractors all the time.

    1. @cj p None of what you just said is relevant to my comment. So when you have something substantive to say, we’ll talk. But I’m not running down fairy tale deflection land with you just so you can hurl insults and bait and switch the argument somewhere else.

    2. @cj p No you are distracting and deflecting from the argument and no one is taking you serious. Yes, Republicans are bootlicking sycophants and will let Trump do anything to them “Grab ’em by the pu-” You get the point. And that’s a fact and these puppets (GOP house members who grandstanded today) are further proof. They are complicit. They are trying to deflect and distract, just like you, and Trump is guilty. Period.

    1. DEMOCRATS DO NOT WANT THE AMERICAN PUBLIC TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON BEHIND CLOSED DOORS BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE WITNESS HAD BEEN DESTROYED UNRAVELING THEIR FAKE NARRATIVE. WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?????

    2. virgilio1956, you obviously watch FOX news or you’re just complicit to not accept the fact that we’ve elected a bad apple. Now the chief of staff admitted on live tv to the heart of the matter. Now THAT is a fact, but YOU don’t want to talk about it because you are partisan and complicit to support whatever this administration does. If you would just admit that, I wouldn’t respond to you rather than pretend like you are being objective.

    3. @virgilio1956 How can you complain it is behind closed doors and still know every single witness has been debunked? And how do you know every single witness is testifying against President Donald Trµmp? You don’t make any sense at all.
