Technically 10 years worth of data, because that’s how long the vehicle for mRNA tech has been in testing and research. Beyond that, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. mRNA vaccines have an even more targeted and specific mechanism for invoking an immune response, so while holistic traditional vaccines have virtually no long term side effects, what plausible reason would we have to believe that a more specific vaccine tech would have a higher likelihood of long term side effects?
There’s always a chance that 10 years down the road this vaccine will give me donkey hooves, but that certainly wouldn’t warrant a 10-year study because the claim is nonsensical.
