  1. Thx Biden for standing for Democracy across the globe! I was so tired of Putin and Trump acting out a scene in Brokeback Mountain!

    1. @reginald doucet no sir, the planet would be gone, period! Probably no life, no food or water, and no planet!

    1. @Ritchie Vernon you will attack with trans officers and trans admirals😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😆😆😆😆😆🤣

  2. Russian law requires an existential threat to use nukes. Losing their offensive war in Ukraine and getting kicked out of their sovereign territory is not an existential threat to Russia. This needs to be said often whenever this is brought up by Putin. Publically and loudly enough even Russians can’t escape the logic.

The thing with laws they can be bypassed under extreme situations.
Sanctions and whatsoever is declaration of war but sure keep threatening Russia and see what happens, they like a ticking bomb even that for now is just empty threats

    1. @tnbrfller who is supplying weapons not was I have ah friend of ah friend who is training Ukrainians on ah few mine sweepers up here in Scotland.

  3. I think my favorite quote comes into play here, seeing Biden’s response to Putin using any form of WMD…”I find this to be an intolerable situation in which up-with, I will not put.”
    W. Churchill

  4. It’s not really giving the cash to Ukraine and forgetting about it, there is a lend lease agreement in place. Britain had a similar agreement with the USA during the second World War, it took until around 2005 before the final instalment and interest were paid back, and even now we have several airbase in Britain that are still “American used” due to the lend lease agreement, I live very near two of them. So ind the end because of the interest that will accrue the USA will get back its funds with interest so in the long term the US government will not lose but will actually make a gain. Once Russia have been kicked out of Ukraine I would think that they will be allowed to join NATO so that Russia will not be able to this again, and I would expect some military bases will become American in a similar style to here in Britain. And for the locals like here it’s not a bad thing to have US service men living there as it does generate jobs for the local population and they do also spend in the local communities.

    1. @Paul Swickard
You do not know the terms of the Budapest Memorandum. Ukraine promised to be a neutral country, but unfortunately, it aspires to join NATO. In case of non-fulfillment of the conditions of the BM, Ukraine can complain to the UN Security Council. Moreover, Zelensky said about leaving the BM in early February.

    2. An explanation of what is happening on the 🇦🇲🇦🇿 Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

For the past 24 hours I have been observing another aggravation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and not only behind it, but rather a large number of speculations in the media that require clarification.

In principle, such clashes could be observed for decades on the border between Azerbaijan and occupied Karabakh and even compare the current situation with them, if not for a few very important “BUT”.

At present, we can observe not the first clashes of a different nature, directly on the border of the de-occupied part of Karabakh and Armenia, a state recognized within its borders.

In 2020, when I started covering the operation to de-occupy Karabakh, many people asked me why I talk about the advance of the Azerbaijani army as if I support it, because they “attacked” Armenia. It cost a lot of work to clarify the situation, drawing parallels with the Donbass, and fortunately, the Ukrainians, who did not know the whole history of the conflict, nevertheless understood that Azerbaijan did not attack Armenia, but liberated its territories occupied by Armenia.

But what’s coming out now? In many media outlets, which take, regrettably, primary sources and “experts” from Russia and Armenia, Azerbaijan allegedly invaded the territory of Armenia. And again twenty-five …

Let me remind you that Karabakh was occupied by Armenia for almost 30 years, and now, after part of this region was liberated, the issue of border demarcation was raised. And this is logical, correct and necessary. First of all, in order to avoid territorial claims and conflicts.

It seems that Yerevan is not against the demarcation, but on the other hand, it is perfectly clear that this is not beneficial for many political forces, especially those representing the interests of “revanchists” and ideologists of the “war”. But as time has shown, the current government in Armenia is also trying to ignore the solution of this problem.

The current, local, but already borderline confrontation has clear signs of provocation. Provocations, the purpose of which is to disrupt any discussion about the demarcation of the border and not only.

And so, the Prime Minister of Armenia again remembers the CSTO in vain and is waiting for help, while this help does not come from the organization, not even because it is a stillborn organism, but because the CSTO members see the obvious provocation of Yerevan’s actions and do not even intend to verbally support what is a deliberate fiction.

It is a pity that a completely different point of view breaks through in our information space, which has origins that are not entirely clear to me, because its fallacy is obvious and unambiguous.

By the way, when Ukraine liberates all temporarily occupied territories and reaches the border with Russia, we will have exactly the same problem on the border with Russia.💇🏿‍♀️🙍‍♂️🙍🏻🙍🏻🙍🏿‍♀️🙎🏿‍♂️🙎🏿‍♂️

  5. “Yes sir, Mr Putin. Right away, Mr Putin. How high, Mr Putin? You’re looking handsome today, Mr Putin.” — Trump.
Thank god Joe Biden is the President. 🇺🇸💙🇺🇸

    1. I’m no fan of Trump but he warned Germany during his presidency about the dangers of Russian gas dependence and told them to increase their security spending. That doesn’t sound very pro-Russia to me, but you do you in bliss

  6. Aight, so we are already dealing with a potential disaster ten times the size of Chernobyl in Zaporizhia (however you spell that citry’s name). If a nuclear bomb were to be used in the proximity, effectively killing the electricity and infrastructure all around, the chain reaction would be something so disastrous that we can’t even fathom it at this point…

  7. The crazy thing is, Putin could end all of this by simply packing up his “toys” and going home. He’s letting his pride take priority over his common sense.

    1. @Benny Kelechi Since you’re such an intelligent person, how about if you start from the beginning and narrate it. Hold on a second while I get my 🍿.

    2. @Fear Rua Russia could only have done this with nukes. But then China, India, Brazil, and even Iran would have joined in sanctioning Russia.

  8. I just wish that Canada could do more. Ukraine built Central Canada, during Canada’s beginnings. There is still a strong Ukrainian presence in Canada.

    1. Ukraine did not build central Canada. How dare you we scots where there in numbers centuries before Ukraine

  9. One comment that keeps popping up is something along the lines of “Well, the Ukrainians are getting a lot of help” in one form or another and it’s supposed to be some kind of excuse for how terribly the Russians are doing in this war. Instead, it just points out that Russia launched a war with ZERO allies at a country that has many very powerful allies. What a catestrophically stupid move.

    1. Russia, experiencing a shortage of ammunition, is looking for help from Tajikistan🇹🇯

Over the past week, from time to time I have only commented on the issue that Russia can allegedly receive ammunition from the DPRK🇰🇵. Personally, this option raises questions about its rationality for me, but on the other hand, I always emphasize that while everyone is pointing their fingers at the DPRK, few people talk live about the fact that since last summer the command of the armed forces of the Russian Federation has gained access to warehouses and centers storage of ammunition in Belarus🇧🇾.

To date, the Russian command, in agreement with Minsk, has gained access to 1405, 1398, 1886 warehouses and 25, 43, 46 ammunition storage arsenals. In August, they removed more than 12 thousand tons of ammunition to reduce the delivery time.

Who? Who on what TV channel said this? Well, except for me. Meanwhile, everyone likes to discuss the topic of North Korea so much… Do you know what it means to deliver 12,000 tons of ammunition, at a distance of more than 11,000 kilometers, in echelons with an average load of 400 tons, through a single artery – the Friendship Bridge?

What the hell is North Korea when, in addition to Belarus, there is …

      There is, for example, Tajikistan!

Russia has a special relationship with Tajikistan, since this country is the main base of the Russian Federation for exerting influence in the region. For example, it was through Tajikistan that Moscow has been supplying ammunition and weapons to the Taliban since 2017.

In turn, Rahmon enlists loyalty from Moscow in matters of his ambitions, including territorial claims against Kyrgyzstan🇰🇬.

That is, here is such an ouroboros from a toad and a viper. Some need ammunition to kill in Ukraine, others need loyalty to commit future murders in Kyrgyzstan.

Two tyrants and dictators found each other in an essentially common goal, but for some reason everyone likes to focus on Kim Jong-un. Reflecting on bright markers, we lose sight of those that really deserve attention. Especially from the authorities whose sanctions can prevent killing and destruction.

  10. We cannot loose sight of the fact that 15 Billion is not a lot of money for the US. The weapons spending also provides valuable jobs for Americans, and profits for American companies, which translate into taxes and economic stimulation. The real question is not how long we can sustain these spending levels, but how fast can we sustain the production levels needed to keep Ukraine supplies without impacting American defense needs.

    1. US has been spending more than what they can earn for a very long time already. The only question is how long can the rest of the world continue to accept.printed fiat currency back by northing.

    2. @Merita Tennyson Yes, you could be ignoring Russia and let it do what it wants. 15 billion USD is not much considering over 20 times that much which goes to the military budget.
You can let Ukraine fight for you cheaply, or you can have a much more costly and devastating confrontation with Russia.

  11. It does not matter what size of nuclear weapons that Putin may use, tactical or otherwise, any use of WMD would cross a most certain red line for the west and trigger a massive military response that would not only end Putin’s reign of terror, but Russia as a nation.

    1. I can’t see him doing it either. Chemical? Maybe, nuclear? No I don’t think so. He would bring the whole world down with him though if he was in imminent danger of losing his “power”.

IMO ALLEGEDLY 🤷‍♂️ obviously I don’t know and neither does anyone else but this is my guess

    2. No need to whatsoever. If, however, NATO were to increase its criminal involvement in this conflict such that it became an existential threat, then, well, yes, of course Putin would do so.

  12. They have more than proven their worth on the battlefield.they have shown the have the same chance to win!!! If not more!! glory to ukraine!!! The gate keepers to Europe 💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙

    1. Well they’re more like the gate and YOU CAN KEEP THEM AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED. Close the gate behind you please. And by the way, you’re actually referring to Old Germany.

  13. I’d also be concerned about the Russian ability to destroy satellites. That’s another escalation we have to watch for. That might come before a nuclear strike, I think.

    1. Did you see the video where they couldn’t even take off a plane and crashed? Gtfo they are stuck in the past.

    2. @Infused Adream
Don’t talk nonsense, Russia has laser technology to blind American satellites. Russia has hypersonic missiles of various ranges that the US does not have.

  14. Thank you CNN for having retired Colonel Cedric Leighton on your show. I found his commentary very enlightening as to the tactics, possible motives, and potential hazards coming from Putin’s command. Putin made a huge mistake invading Ukraine, but I believe now he’s unlikely to use nuclear or chemical weapons because the consequences would be too high, and he is, above all else, about self preservation and his own legacy. Even so, I believe we would be wise to prepare for the possibility, and permit the transfer of anti missile systems into Ukraine, just in case. I agree, Ukraine is truly fighting for us all, let freedom ring throughout the world. 🌎 🗽🇺🇦
