@EternalMidnight The thing is, Russia did try. But when you see the other side unwilling to truly talk there is nothing else to do. It was only last week that UK’s foreign minister met with Lavrov not even knowing that Rostov is russian territory and at their conference later, all she did was read a pre-written speech. Meanwhile the americans were constantly saying Putin will attack Kiev and kill millions. Only france and germany seemed willing to talk, but they are not the ones making the final decisions. The russian invasion is unacceptable, but all this blood is on the west’s hands. Not because they did not make a firmer stand, but because they wanted it to happen. The US is the only party that comes out of this as a winner, that is why they were the ones fanning the flames. And they have been doing this for a long time now, not just the last couple of months, they have been covertly influencing ukraine to take more and more anti russian stance for at least 1-2 years now.
What would happen say to Canada if they decided to join with a country or group of countries that has been trying to destroy U.S.A? Giving them ability to have military bases at US door steps, Pretty sure US would do the exact same to Canada.
I don’t know a lot about Ukraine but my heart goes out to them. Cant imagine having to flee my home in the midst of a military attack. The atrocities mankind commits to each other is just unreal.
